As of 7/21/09, the product description is a little bit off regarding the specs. This system actually came with a 50W subwoofer and 5 x 25W speakers - not 60W and 30W respectively. But it is adequate for a small or medium sized room. Also, initially I couldn't figure out how to connect my TV to the speaker system. I ended up using the AUX input on the speakers, which works fine. All the other inputs on the speaker system are designed for direct hookup of a DVD or CD player, game system, etc. that have Subwoofer and Central hookups. I needed Left and Right as per a TV stereo hookup. I wish the AUX input on the speaker was also marked TV - that would have saved me time figuring it out. Also, the system came with mutliple cables, but not the correct one to go from my TV Digital Audio Out to the speakers - I had to use the Analog Audio Out hookups from the TV. I think the sound would be better from digital, so I'm planning to buy the right cable to try the digital audio connection from the TV. I still give this system a rating of 4 due to the low price and decent sound quality.

After knowing friends who have purchased surround systems for hundreds of dollars more than this one. I was skeptical how this one would sound. After getting it and installing it with the included wall brackets,I was utterly surprised at the quality and volume this system had. I showed my roommates and they couldn't believe how much I paid for it!! Having been in a band many years ago I have heard expensive studio systems and this one surely compares to them, but without the huge price! The remote control makes this very easy to use and it works on my PC, DVD Player and even my MP-3! Once again Overstock.com delivers a fantastic product for an excellent value! Thanks again~

perhaps it was just a fluke, and this is normally a very good quality product. i was excited about this system when i ordered it because the sound quality on my tv is not so great. it took a few weeks for me to get it out and set up, but now i am thinking about returning it. as far as audio quality goes, i'm not an expert, but the subwoofer seems to sound ok to me, so i gave it three stars. as for the 5 smaller surround sound speakers, i haven't a clue because i cannot use them. the number of inputs and outputs required to set the whole system up is unreal (directions say to run it through your dvd player), and i don't have that many on my brand new dvd player, let alone available. i finally gave up on the surround speakers (which, by the way, are not wireless, in case you got that impression) and just hooked up the subwoofer (to my tv). that was a bit of guess work, as the directions are very minimal and not very explanatory, and they did not have any instructions for only hooking up the subwoofer. my biggest issue with this system, however, was the quality of the workmanship. it is either not well made at all, or it was damaged before it was ever shipped (packaging was in perfect condition). i am very unhappy with it overall, but it may be too late to return it at this point.

Goes great with my son's PS3 and Blu Ray. Just wish it came with the volume level.

I used it for my computer and it turnout real nice. I am very happy with their performance.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend for Christmas and he loves it. The instructions were difficult to decipher so we just played around with it until we figured it out (we ran a cable from the auxillary output to our dvd player and didn't use any of the other included cables). That part was a bit frustrating, but after we got it hooked up we couldn't be any happier with it. The sound quality is excellent. It performs better than the price reflects. I would recommend easier instructions be included in the package, but other than that, it's an excellent product.

I bought this for my husband. He loves it. He has only had it hooked up for a day but it works great so far. One of the wires of a cord was showing but there are quite a few in the box so it worked out alright.

I bought this as a gift for my Dad who's hard of hearing. He loves it! He loved his big screen TV but complained he couldn't hear it very well. He was thinking of buying a surround sound but as he lives in a small mobile home and the room the TV is in isn't very large I thought a surround sound would have been way overkill. This proved to be just the ticket! Great price, great value.

Pro: This is a great product if all you desire is a better audio experience when watching movies or anything else on your tv. I've hooked my itouch to my system on occasion, and I got a feeling of being in a concert hall. This system is easy to set up.Con: Horrible instructions on the operation of the unit. The hook-ups in the back need to be better explained. I run my tv through the aux. hookup. Does not give a true home theatre experience, but it does have great sound quality, and it is 5.1 surround.

I have a DVD player/recorder so I was looking for a speaker system that didn't include a DVD player. This well priced system fit my needs perfectly. I'm using it in a small (12x12) room and the fullness of the sound is surprising for the cost. I liked that it comes with its own small remote control and it's a plus that it can control the bass level separately from the volume. If you choose to connect your TV to the AUX input be sure to press the button on the upper right of the remote after powering on the system to allow it to function. This must be performed each time the system is powered on. I've recommended this product to a few friends who were looking for an inexpensive theater system with good sound quality. I'm considering purchasing another of these systems for the bedroom.

This little system rocks...for the price you can't expect anything better! I use it when I play PS3 and it sounds GREAT. It could use more features and if you lose the remote you might be out of luck but like I said for the price this is a good system. I have used SDAT products before and they havent let me down.

what a great home theatre system. the closest to being "in a theatre sound" that i have experienced in a long time. the slight drawback to this system is that there is no digital readout and while using the remote, you do the counting ,for sound levels.

I bought the product as a gift for my parents who wanted a little better sound system for their big screen TV. They really like the improved sound and the color of the product goes with their TV. The only problem they had with the product was figuring out how to hook it up to their TV. They called customer support and they got them going in a few minutes. Seems like the manual was not that clear, but my parents are also in their mid seventies..

this system is a joke theres no hd inputs so you cant use it with your ps3 unless you run your ps3 threw av jacks and then your ps3 will only brcast 720p plus there very poor quality i mean if you lose the remote you minus well throw it away i just sent back the second one the first one with in twenty four hours started acting funny the remote would not work properly the second one started shorting out the minute i hooked it up the plus to it if you get lucky and get a good one the sound and bass are pretty good for the price plus theres a av cord that you can hook up to your i pod up to all and all DO NOT BUY THIS I WILL NEVER BUY A SDAT PRODUCT AGAIN its to much headache poor low budget quality what a joke
