As someone who remembers phones that didn't even have dials on them, and party lines, technology just keeps amazing. Flash drives and card readers are stunning, and this little item is replacing a much bigger reader. I can keep it in the bottom of the little Vera Bradley zipper case I keep my camera, 3 cards and spare battery in. Wow.

I bought this as a gift for my mom, and she loves it. I tried it out when showing her how to use it, and it worked just fine. She likes that she can easily transfer her pictures from her home computer to work. It could always have more features (i.e. miniSD), but for its purpose, it's perfect. It's compact, light weight, and works for a light-to-moderate user who wants to transfer a few files. It's a great bargain.

This is a very useful tool in the computer backpack. Some computers have built-in card readers and others do not. This solves the problem of getting files from either one of these computers to another (if the built-in card reader is for SD or MMC). The reason it got only 4 stars on features is only because I would have like to see more card types (such as microSD or MS) included. But for what is there, it performs in a most excellent manner.

Loved the price and usability of the item.Saved my files to sd card and moved them to my back up computer. My cd burner died so couldn't burn files to cd for back up. This worked out great.

Unfortunately, this reader/writer will NOT work when connected to the USB port on my Mac G4 keyboard. This is a a VERY BIG HASSLE as it means that I MUST disconnect the USB port for my printer (I have only 2 ports on my computer & one MUST be used for the keyboard) and plug in the reader. Not very convenient at all. I ended up giving the reader away to a Windows PC person.

I purchadsed this item for my husband because he has an older laptop and cannot download pictures from my camera. It works great, the only problem was it came apart right out of the package, but, a drop of super glue on each side, good as new, and works like a charm, he loves it.

Memory Card Reader/Writer with USB

I purchased this for my work computer since it doesn't have a card reader but does have a USB Port. This is perfect. It's plug and play so I went right to work downloading my photos. You can even leave the photo card in it and replace the cover. It is a bit bulky compared to other Flash Drives, so if you are limited on space, this may not be for you. But I LOVE MINE!!!

I love this gadet!! When you're at Grandmas' and you've got pictures on your camera to share, but she doens't have the same camera software, not a problem with this little device. Makes any memory card an instant flash drive. This should come with camera instead of aUSB cord!
