I bought this item for my 10 year old son as his birthday present as I had a battery grip on my Nikon D90 and he wanted one for his Oylmpus E410. My son and I were totally disappointed with the performance to a point that he told me it was screwing up his camera if he used it and he took it off and returned it to me. I tried many times to find out the fault but couldn't resolve it. With the battery grip fixed to the camera, I couldn't use AUTO, P or S modes. Even in A and M mode, if it requires the pop up flash to be activated, it simply shuts down the camera. To go around it I had to attach an external flash unit. All in all, the performance is worse than if I didn't have it at all. The reason i gave up trying to return the item was I had to pay for freight from Singapore to USA. Why should a customer pay for a faulty item. Perhaps Overstock could address this issue for foreign buyers and maybe at least test the item out before it gets shipped out.
