I quite like this lens. It has a decent aperture and focus, and provides a light and quick supertele-photo lens that I can drop in my backpack for sudden need. (ie like walking through the park and suddenly spotting a bird in a tree). One must always remember that a mirror lens does not have the features and quality of a high end telephoto lens, but it also doesn't have the bulk and size. I only take my high end stuff on a few shoots because of its size, while this lens is compact and usually does a reasonable job.
I definitely recommend it for that purpose, but not for people wanting a dedicated high-quality telephoto lens.
