The first Road Trip Transmitter that I recieved from Overstock did not work properly. It would charge my Ipod like it is suppose to, but it would not transmit to the car radio. I contacted Overstock.com, and they sent me another Road Trip Transmitter that worked properly. I have no complaints at all, it does what it says it will do, I love it! Overstock was very quick in sending me a replacement, and they set up my broken transmitter to be returned with UPS. It was all easy and painless!

I have an older model car that doesn't have the MP3 plugin. So, to listen to my Ipod Nano I purchased this FM transmitter so I could. I love it!

After reading the semi-mixed reviews from other people I was weary about ordering this product but I certainly am glad I did! This product could not be easier to use! I didn't even need to read the directions on how to set it up. I used to have an am/fm transmitter that you just plugged into the ipod and put it anywhere and it would play but it was horrible! You had to find a way to make it touch the radio in order to get good reception. I was pleasantly surprised that with this one, all you have to do it plug it in AND I ALWAYS get great reception wherever I go, I have never experience any static whatsoever!! It's very very easy to use while driving and I don't have to worry about being distracted from the road. It is also very convenient that if someone else wants to listen to their ipod in my car, all they have to do is plug it in because it fits all ipod types and generations! I am absolutely 110% satisfied with my decision to buy this product!

This product wouldn't fit on my dash, my lighter is in the ash tray and it was to big and bulky. Then when I did get it to come on it had too much static and kept falling over and loosing signal. I didn't return because I am sick of paying shipping both ways on products that don't work. It is cheaper to just keep and hope I can sell them at a yard sale.

I have tried similar products and returned them. This product is worth every penny. Don't mess with the transmitters that only have a few stations, they don't work. This one does!!!!!!

I ordered this after another brand became useless after just a few months, with the wiring stripping from the unit. First, this one doesn't have all the cords that get tangled up. The unit seems bulky at first, but it works perfectly for me. The extension allows it to work in almost any car. My lighter is pretty deepset and the way this is made not only reaches, but allows me to angle the unit so that I don't hit my iPod everytime I shift gears. The audio quality is fantastic. The other brand I had, the moment a station would start to come through, I'd get nasty static. With this one, when I drive into an area where that station is taking over, it has to be a pretty strong signal before I start hearing the slightest scratch. It's also very easy to use. Just click it on and hit play on the iPod. Plus, after even a short road trip, when I'm done, my iPod is completely recharged!

I've been using my RoadTrip for several weeks now and love it. Some other reviewers complain about reception, but that's inherent in all FM transmitters. Mine works well 99% of the time. The sound quality is excellent! The only negatives: the adapter that is used to plug into the cigarette lighter is a bit bulky, and may not work in all vehicles. But it works nicely in my '05 Corolla. Second, the iPod fits snugly into the adaptor, so if you have a case or jacket on your iPod, you have to take it off before attaching it to the RoadTrip. The bottom line is this is the best deal you will find for the money!

Just installed and it was easy to set up. sounded clear, and worked the way it is supposed to. I would recommend this as a good FM transmitter for the price.

This product only works in a vehicle.My last transmitter was able to be used on any fm stereo which made it great for parties. This unit comes loose from the cigarette lighter with the slightest bump and then looses signal. You then have to re-start to get the transmission. It is also hard to see your ipod to change songs due to it being fixed to the lighter. I would not recommend this. Spend the extra for a fully portable transmitter.

For having been refurbished this is a great price and an o.k. product! If you can get past the first shipment missed the actual charger. However, Overstock did send me a replacement quickly. Also, I like to use the 87.9 channel. This product does not have that channel. Also, you must turn your radio up Really loud to hear it, I believe that is par for the course. Lastly, I should mention, it needs a couple of minutes to warm up before you can hear it! Overall, I give it an average Rating! I do like the price!

Works very well..... bought 2 of them ... one for each car... just requires a little bit of patience to find a good frequency as the spectrum is quite full here in Dallas.

I ordered this in hopes of using it on a road trip. No luck - I still can not get the plug in to work in my car. The outlet works great but this item will not work AT ALL! Currently, I am trying to email tech support from the manufacturing company but their communication is not the greatest. The directions are also confusing. I would not describe this product as being easy to use. Please do not purchase - you will regret it.

While the transmitter makes it easy to install and listen to your ipod, what it doesn't tell you is how easy it shuts itself off. When you turn your car and the device swings one way or another it automatically shuts off. The you have to turn it back on and get back to where you were. It is a complete pain and I will be buying another brand that may have less problems. This was a refurbished product and I can now see why the original owner returned it! I would not reccomend it to a friend at all.

I wanted to be able to play my ipod in the car without spending alot of money. This neat little transmitter did the trick. It was easy to set up and plug into the lighter. I easily found a frequency to use without much static from the ipod. The audio quality was better than I anticipated after reading some of the other reviews. Sadly, since I was taking a road trip, I had to reset the frequency a few times. Not a big deal. The charger is a big plus! I would recommend this to others.

The first one I recieved had broken wires hanging out of the attachment arm. Needless to say, it wouldn't work. I contacted Overstock and was very pleasantly surprised at the almost immediate response to my query. They sent me return mail stickers. They also ended up sending me the new one before I'd even returned the old one. I was very pleased with the customer service. The low rating then??? I have tried and tried to get the durn thing to work. I follow the sparse directions and presto! Nada. I get a blank radio station, get the tuner on the road trip to the same station, and presto! Nada. So frustrated with it that it is now living in my trunk being punished. I'll be trying to use it again at some point...but am basically writing this one off as useless. I'll just save my money for a car stereo overhaul so I can plug the ipod directly in.

This seemed like a great price and came with adequate instructions. However, it would seldom play correctly through the fm station due to my IPOD slipping out of the unit or while driving the car, a bump may cause the IPOD to not make contact with the unit. It has to be in just the right angle in the car lighter for it to work. It does charge the IPOD well.

I did a lot of research before I commited to this purchase. I checked all of the major electronic stores and the prices were outrageous. You can not beat this price! My next concern was the sound quality from the FM transmitter. I like quality sound and I was afraid that the signal would break up or reduce the clear digital sound of the ipod. I live in the fourth largest city in the U.S. and finding a dead FM channel can be hard, but within 5 minutes I had located the channel, locked it in on the transmitter and haven't had to mess with it since. The sound is great and the only time I have had any change in sound quality is if I get stuck under major power lines (I'm talking the towers that interfer with all radio signals). The unit is black and fits in nicely with my interior. The adjustable arm and cradle make it easy to position the ipod so that I can read the screen and use all of the ipod functions. It comes with many adaptors for different ipods. I have the larger 30g and it holds the ipod in place without worry. All my favorite music in my truck! With the decline of radio its a must. Enjoy!!

This is a poorly made unit. My Nano wouldn't fit squarely into the dock. The sleeve that is supposed to hold it in isn't lined up correctly. I had to hold the Nano on to the base by hand to get it even to make a connection. Then when I let go it lost it's connection. The little time it had a connection the audio was fuzzy.

Very easy to use. Just plug it in and trum it on. Good value for money.

I was a little unsure on this item, since some of the reviews weren't that great.... BUT, it has worked perfectly for us, and we use it every time we're in the car. It is MUCH better than the other brand one that we previously had, rarely has static when traveling. I definitely recommend this, can't beat the price
