This charger works. It is nice to have the retractable wiring. However, the connector piece occassionally gets lose and the charging connection gets interupted and/or disconnected. I constantly find myself finding my phone not charging. It sucks to have to keep an eye on the phone while driving to make sure its charging.
My review and rating are based on the fact that I never had the opportunity to use the product to charge my Palm Centro. Right out of the package, I decided to test the retractable feature, and when the connector hit the base of the unit, it sprung back so fast, the connector exploded. The force was so great that the wires in the connector were completely severed in the process. All the pieces were packed up today and sent back. Was a nice concept but won't be recommending this to others.

I tried to use this product, more than 30 days after receiving it. When I finally used it, It would not stay plugged in, kept turning off the charge. Would charge for a second then, cut off. Was totally useless. Overstock almost would not allow me to return, but then did issue a store credit. Customer service was good, product not so good.

I tried using this with my Palm Centro and it doesn't charge. The plug fits, but it doesn't charge.
Needed a charger for the car and this one works beautifully.
