This cable is half the cost and works as advertised. Don't pay extra for an accessory just because it has "i" in front of the name. Retractable cord is a plus if you are swimming in cords like me.
This is just what I was looking for to be able to use my MP3 player in my car. I like that the cord is retractable (you just have to be careful when you want to recoil it) because its tidy and convenient. When I first pulled the cord out it didnt want to rewind correctly but that was easily fixed and I have not had a problem since. Of course the price is right and the delivery was right on schedule.
Wanted to use this in the car to play a Creative Zen Nano MP3 player. It does it's job. I didn't want something with a long cord since it would be laying within a foot of the jack. While I haven't connected the Ipod in the car, the jack does fit an Ipod Nano. The only quibble I have is that the doesn't completely retract any more after using it for about 2 weeks in the car to play an audio book--maybe a 1/2 to an inch on each end; but it's minor.
