The charger not only charges the Zune, but allows operation of the zune while it is plugged in - that doesn't happened when it's being charged via computer. Great for when I want to listen or watch while at home, without running down the battery before leaving the house.

When I plugged in my dying Zune, I noticed that while it was keeping it from turning off, it wasn't actually being charged. Even after being plugged in for 2 hours, it still had a dying battery after unplugging it. So if you just want a way to keep the Zune on, then it works ok, but not if you actually want it to hold a charge for later...which is the whole point of the charger in the first place. Perhaps it was just the one I received, but I wouldn't even bother taking the chance with another one.

Son received a Zune from his brother for Christmas but no charger was included with the item. Since he was going to be travelling, he needed some way to charge it besides having to hook up to a computer. This item works great for that. He's pleased!!

I used the charger twice and it broke. After plugging the device into the
Zune, you can hear a clicking noise but nothing connects. A waste of
money. I wouldn't recommend this product.

I take my Zune with me everywhere and don't always have the cord to plug into a computer to recharge it. With this plug I can just plug it into the wall. It's fast and I'm on my way again with a fully charged battery and lots of tunes to get me to the next location.

I am very disappointed in the amount of time it takes for this unit to actually charge my Zune. I've noticed that it takes approximately 5 - 8 hours to fully charge, so this is anything but 'rapid.' In addition, it is difficult to get the charger to fit into the Zune...it's a very tight fit. I would not recommend this product.
