AM/FM Radio Alarm Clock with Weather Forecast

It took me a while to figure it out, but most of the features are pretty good. The batteries for the unit that gives you the outside temperature ran out in a couple of days, so I just don't use that anymore, although it would be really nice to have that feature.

This alarm clock has been a disapointment. The automatic time setting feature works off of a central system in colorado, it takes several hours for it to reset the time. And when it does reset the time you must make sure you recheck the clock and put it into your time zone. Also the weather feature works off of a sensor that you put outside of your window. This means that it does not read local weather reports it actually reads weather with its own sensors, meaning it often misses rain forecast althought it does give an accurate reading of the temperature. I was also displeased with the backlight. The clock does not stay aluminated in the dark so you have to touch the screen so that light can turn on and you can see the time.

I consider myself fairly competent when operating electronic devices, but this little alarm clock is a bit challenging. Especially when it goes off in the morning and you can't find the button to turn it off (because it is not constantly lit up). The sound quality leaves something to be desired, and it doesn't seem to adjust to a very low volume. The weather is great feature, but right now I have both this clock and my battery powered travel clock sitting beside it for the alarm. This would be a great clock for someone who doesn't have to use an alarm and loves to know the weather.

The weather features work great and the digital tuning keeps the station clear. It did take me awhile to figure out how to program everything. I'm still trying to figure out a few things (how to change the alarm volume when it first goes off, it always goes back to "3" and I have to quickly turn it down to not wake up the rest of the house). The clock doesn't stay illuminated. You have to touch it to light it up. This is a good thing and a bad thing...good because there is not extra light at night, bad because my radio is too far for me to reach and so if I want to know the time in the middle of the night, I have to get out of bed. Overall, I'm going to keep it because I like to know the weather / temp when I first get up and also like the digital tuning so I get a clear station.
