Don't buy this! Does not work... only works for 1 cable..

this product would not work for my applcation, was useless.

This product splits the RJ45 signal from one cable to two. I plugged it to a cable from my router and plugged 2 cables to the other side, ran one to a laptop, the other to my HDTV. Both got signal and I was able to continue using the laptop with no ill effects at the same time the TV got signal. I thought I'd have to pay more for something more 'serious' in order to do this job, turns out a simple connector did the trick at a great value.

I received this product, and nothing seemed to be broken on it. But once it was plugged in, only one of the Ethernet slots worked

fast and good. i am an idiot though for thinking a ether net jack splitter could be used to provide an additional internet plug. That is what routers are for! Jack splitters are for physical networks and must be used in pairs. I received my order promptly and it appears to be in good, brand new condition.

You cannot bridge an ethernet connection using this product. You must use an Ethernet Switch to bridge an ethernet cable. However this product description says "you cannot use both computers at the same time", but this will only confuse your internet provider since each computer has a different hardware address in it.

I bought several of these splitters for use in our offices. Our offices only have one port, but two computers, so I was led to believe I could split the signal with a RJ45 Light Beige 1x2 Ethernet Connector Splitter. When connected, NEITHER Computer works! This is a scam! An IT fella told me that it would not work because the packets would be crashing into each other. Whatever.... DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!! Too good to be true! School Official
