I found the price on this A/V receiver to excellent. The receiver was fairly easy to set up, my only difficulty was connecting speaker cables due the gauge wire I used. The antenna connection (FM) was not coax as I expected but the antenna supplied works ok. The receiver uses two connectors to secure the supplied wire leads that feed the antenna signal to the stereo's receiver. The received performs beautifully.Read More

The unit was delivered (as a gift). When I incorporated the unit into a new HDTV with separate speakers it functioned as advertised. However, there are two very annoying features (or lack, thereof). With the matching remote, when the unit is powered down, the functions shut off, however, the unit (two lights and the very noisy fan, remain on. I thought they would shut off when the unit cooled down, however, they remain on, indefinitely, unless it is manually shut with the power button on on the face of the unit. You cannot turn it back on unless you depress the button on the unit, itself. Secondly, the unit cannot be programmed to a universal remote. Since the enclosed remote only controls the receiver, you are left using multiple remotes. I contacted Pyle. Their representative confirmed the power control issue and has informed me that they were "looking into the codes to program it to a universal remote". Perhaps they will find them, but so far, nothing.Read More
