These headphones are amazing
I cannot believe the noise cancelling quality on this pair is as good as my Bose QC2 that costs me 3 times more money. I gave my QC2 to my son. It can fold smaller than the Bose and there is a volume control and on/off switch on the left side of the headset. It uses one AAA battery claimed to last 70 hours by the manuacturer. I've only test it during my 10 hours flight to and from San Diego last week. The battery is still going. I just turn it on today and let it sit for 2 days to test the battery life. I will post my test result later. It also comes with an iPhone adaptor cable, airplane adaptor, home audio adaptor and a leather carry pouch. Good quality at unbelievable price. I'm satified with the Pure-Ear and will recommend it to everyone.

Pure ear noise Cancelling headphones
Hi, this review is being written by an audiophile that has written reviews of products before. The general audio performance is very good. The base response is excellent though it is "thickened" by the noise cancelling circuitry. In an effort to optimize the noise cancelling performance the effective range of the circuitry goes too low in frequency causing marginal instability. The effect can be heard (as a mild "motor boating" effect) if the phone are rapped on the ear piece while listening or moving on a piece of exercise equipement. The treble response is a bit recessed but smooth and the treble boost on my I-Pod compensated for this very nicely. the midrange does nothing negative, an important pluse as that is where most of the music is. the noise cancelling performance is second onlt to the Bose over ear phones. My only compliant is with the latch that holds the battery case cover on fell off into the earpiece and I had to take the earpiece apart to retrive the piece of plastic. Overall these phones are an excellent value at less than 1/2 the Bose price!

I have fallen in love with these headphone! I agree they do reduce the noise for me. I have extremely loud neighbors but now i can rest anytime i need to. I have fibromyalgia and that makes me extremely sensitive to noise finally a solution. Well worth the money

Great Value
I will be going to Spain next month and decided to purchase these earphones, so far they have been great. Sound quality is good and the noise reduction has worked well. I live near the Airport, planes go over my house at all time. I have used them outside by the pool and they have worked well.

Wonderful!
I recently used my newly purchased headphones on a trip to Thailand, what a lifesaver! Pure-Ear Headphones muffle the standard plane noise as well as drown out loud speaking people and annoying crying babies. The comfort of Pure-Ear Headphones allowed me to sleep peacefully on my flights. Although I barely listened to/watched in-fight entertainment, I would leave the headphones on to keep things quiet. Pure-Ear is an affordable, durable, good quality headphone ... comparable to Bose.

Really Work!
Great sound boosting when the noise-canceling feature is turned on; which is perfect for the low voltage sound of ipods. I use mine in the laundromat when I want to escape to my own little world. I bought a pair for a graduating phd because I LIKED MINE SO MUCH. She really liked hers, too.

I purchased these before an airplane ride. We travel somewhat, but not enough to afford the Bose. I read the other reviews on these and was extremely satisfied. The noise that was removed while these were on was incredible. I finally slept on the plane and I didn't feel jet lagged from flying. I can't wait to try them out on the lawnmower. Definitely recommended!!
