I'm giving this 4 out of 5 stars.I bought this software with the intent of visualizing my future garden, as I would keep obsessing over the blank canvas of my yard and decide on one set of plants to either forget what plants I liked or change my mind completely the next week. It arrived quickly, installed without a hitch, and is simple enough to use... but lo and behold, I seem to have to create a "house" through it before I can get to the garden design. I wanted this particular product for its complexity and walk-through capabilities, but I didn't really expect to have to put in all the flooring materials & such just to get to the part I really bought it for. I haven't given up on this software yet, but I also haven't gotten the time to really learn it. It's really a robust program and I should have made a wiser choice, probably, since I only wanted half of its capabilities.
As a previous user of Punch products, I expected better. My old software was from the late 90's and, although simpler, was almost at par with this software.Don't get me wrong, this product has some amazing features and a much updated look to it. The product library for 3D view is quite impressive. Although, mine only worked after uninstalling and then reinstalling, because of multiple glitches the first time around.If you can fight through the frustrations of learning how to use a very complex product, this is for you.Even with the bible-sized instruction manual, frustrations are abundant. To add to it, the manual tends to speak of options not even found on the software (unless the creators are great at playing hide-and-seek).Any home users looking for a first try with home design...stick with a more basic program. I am sure Punch has much more user friendly software, and there are other companies that may be worth a look.Good luck to you.
