AKAI PT4298HD Wide Screen Rear Projection HDTV (42-inch)

Actually after reading reviews here and elsewhere about this TV I was split right down the middle, but for the prce Overstock was asking and for what I was looking for it can't be beat. We're not huge TV watchers. We are I guess you would say "casual viewers". The TV is on maybe four hours in the day. It hooked up fine to everything. The only wish I had was that there was an extra TV/Audio output for surround sound instead of using the TV speakers for regular TV since my cable box isn't anywhere near my television to plug into my receiver. Small price to pay. Awesome value. It's working great and yeah it is a bit on the heavy side and doesn't look like the picture shown. There seems to be another speaker-type section above the ones that are shown in the

wonderful tv for the value. the sound is great; and the picture is quite good. I bought 2 of them simply because of the good value here on the O. For a 42" HDTV, its a steal.

I got this t.v. for the price and size. It's heavier than I expected, the picture quality isn't that great, there are colors that pop up sometimes in some scenes, and there are many controls to set the picture dimentions. The remote is easy to operate too. Overall, it's OK, it's the kid's t.v. and they can't tell the difference. :-)
