HP 1100 LaserJet Printer (Refurb)

Printer is a refurbished model by manufacturer. When it arrived a part had come loose and the printer would not work. For us this was a replacement for the same printer (we had a full ink cartridge) and we referred to the broken printer to determine how to fix the loose part. Then the printer worked like a champ. Have been using this printer for about 4 years and like its performance. Ink needs replacing about once a year. I consider myself to be a heavy user of the printer.

Product is excellent, and Overstock.com had the best value compared to all researched. I will definately recommend both the product and Overstock.com.

It's a great machine....this is my second...My first one lasted almost seven years without a hitch and I only had to change the printer cartridge one time. I love it! All I had to do was unplug the old one and plug in the new one and I was set to go..Didn't even have to re-install the software. On top of that I know can use it with my network where as before for some reason it wouldn't let me...know I'm able to sit at my laptop and plug away and print into my office with no problem. The price was great also.....Hoping that it'll last me the same amount of tim. Again, I love it and I know it's now off the market.....but if you see anymore, I'd recommend it for home use.

I bought 30 of these for a school, and they were a nightmare. I'll preface this by saying that without the defect, they are great printers, however, to have 30 of them slowly exhibit the defect was a huge disappointment. The defect involves the rubber on the roller that grabs the paper out of the tray. It would start to harden and lose its grip. HP had an innovative kit to fix the problem, but I don't think it's free anymore. Depending on when these were made, just beware that there is a known problem with these. Do a web search for "LaserJet 1100 multiple pages feed problem" and you'll see.
