it protects the back of the ipod from scratches, i purchased the clear protector so the good looks of the ipod shows through. i use another outside case to carry the ipod when i'm walking, it clips on to my belt.

STRETCH
this is a funtional and atractive case. it is very well designed and looks great. the only problem is that it is a loose fit. the ipod slides inside the case and often falls out. the camera is partially obstructed , therefore i must take it out of the case in order to take pictures. overall, for BASIC protection, its fine, but i would recommend a more secure option if you plan to carry your ipod out of the house.
