Bought this DVD player...worked great for awhile...but the screen went black...turns out it was a recall problem with Toshiba. Toshiba refused to fix the "recalled" screen problem. I will never purchase a TOSHIBA product again. Overstock is great. They did all they could do. Highly recommend OVERSTOCK.COM

I got my Toshiba for a really great price, and it works extremly well!! Big screen and I love how it looks with the black background of the player!!

My major objection to this portable DVD player is the loud noise from the drive. It is not typical of a new machine and this is a rebuilt unit. It wouldn't read some of the DVD's that I have and is slow to read CD's with photos.
The video quality is good and the audio is only fair thru the speakers. It is best to use headphones with this model.

While the stem is sleek, easy to opeerate and functions well the volume control only goes so high making the volume level when you use the ear plugs very lowl.
I have take it on 3 flights thus far and was glad that I coul read what was being said since I could not hear over the sould of the normal plane noises.
