Not what I thought
from Sheboygan Falls, WI,  Sep 4, 2008

I bought 2 units and only 1 of the tape players works properly. The bad unit sounds like the batteries are going dead so I changed them 3 times with new ones and knew it was the tape player. The radio works good on both, but I already have a broken Sony cassette walkman that has a working radio and really only needed the cassette part to work. I guess you get what you pay for. I would of sent the unit back but the receipt is needed and because of online buying my husband shredded account info before I could test them out. I went out instead and bought a MP3 player and now download my CD's on it.

I found this a good value for the money. The batteries last forever. Sound quality changes to alert me to their running low.

Excelent
from St Nyk Holland,  Sep 8, 2010

I already have one for fifteen years and use it every day for my lanquage lessons on tape of Liquaphone. I have one of Sony and one of Aiwa, but both are very old and have to be replaced very soon, otherwise I cannot play my tapes anymore . When you do not want to disturb you wife with the clockradio on it also usefull. A lanquage fanatic from europe.

This is really a neat little radio/cassette player. I can hook it on my belt when i am out and about doing my walking or on the way to the store to purchase groceries. Not only does it do cassettes but also AM/FM radio. It has a good tone and music is good.

I bought this to play my old cassettes while I am walking. These units are no longer available in the stores unfortunately. The tapes play great and the sound is very good. The radio doesn't have very good reception as it goes in and out as I change directions when I walk. Also, the earphones are not that great and I replaced them with my own earbuds. I thought the unit was such a good value, I bought another one after I tried out the first one. I also like the belt clip feature, which is very handy. I think this is a very good buy for the money and would recommend it to anyone that wants to play cassettes.

Portable AM/FM Stereo Cassette Player
from Boston, Ma.,  Apr 30, 2009

Excellent quality for a small unit. I got it expressly for the AM radio and it is perfect. Tried the FM and Cassette and both worked fine. Remember it works thru the headphones unless you have a small plug in speaker in place of the headphones, which I did.

Great Asset
from Birmingham, AL,  Apr 4, 2009

I use this handy device when I walk around the block with my puppy. I get both Am & FM so I don't miss the talk-radio shows. I can also listen to my favorite tunes.

A good buy
from Antelope Valley, Ca.,  Sep 6, 2008

Since portable cassette players are extremely had to find now in the era of CD players, I was glad that I checked here at Overstock. This player is lightweight, which is perfect because I use it at work. The sound is good, the headphones are okay, it's easy to use and the price was right. Thanks again Overstock!

Nice for those old school cassettes or for playbacks of things recorded off the radio. They are getting harder to find. Good product.

Will have to do since they're hard to find
from Houston, TX,  Aug 13, 2008

Cassette players are hard to find in the day of Ipod's but I like to listen to books on tape when I'm walking. This player is very flimsy in design and I don't expect it to last very long. The sound is sometimes raspy and it shuts off if jarred even a little.

But no rewind
Anonymous  from Des Moines, IA,  Aug 7, 2008

This unit is very easy to operate. The radio is very good. Tape fast forward is VERY slow. I wish there was a rewind. When listening to speaking audio, you don't always catch things the first time they are thrown.

Great Cassette Player
from Spring Hill, FL,  May 27, 2008

I absolutely love this product. I bought it so I could make my own cassettes and go out walking. CD players tend to skip from your body movement so this was great. It is compact enough to go in your pocket of your shorts. The sound quality is great and is easy to operate. I haven't even used it for radio play. I would recommend this to everyone.
