  • Great camera for the price!

Great camera for the price. I would recommend this for every day picture taking.

  • Won't purchase a Sony again/poor customer service

    Jun 26, 2014

ren11  from St Louis, MO, Rating:1.0

Purchased this camera for quality outdoor videos. Sony doesn't tell you that it overheats and shuts off viewfinder (it still records but you can't see what you're recording) in less than 5 minutes. Then you have to argue with them (via call that has been routed overseas) to get them to send to repair facility. They sent us a loner camera but it shuts off, too, and Sony still denies there's a problem with this camera. Don't waste your money. Buy a less expensive camera from a company who cares about customer service. We are now stuck with a camera that doesn't work and Sony says that's not a problem at all.

  • New to this kind of camera

    Apr 10, 2014

Haven't used camera much yet but so far it looks like it will do the kind of things I want to do. Like inside pics and long distance. I live on Lake Ontario and have a beautiful lighthouse to photograph.

  • Total waste of money

    Mar 27, 2013

    indian47203  from Seymour, IN, Rating:1.0

As with anything you you want to play with it right. Well I did I was taking pictures of everything. I had bought the camera to take on vacation with me because it was a once in a lifetime trip and I wanted a good camera to take pictures. I took over 700 pictures on vacation the batteries dont last long I was changing batteries all the time. But the biggest issue was when I got home from vacation and went to show the pictures I had take the memory card had been erased. All 700 and some pictures GONE!!

  • Most pictures were dark or blurry

    Jun 12, 2012

    darknblurred  from Miami, FL, Rating:2.0

The camera looked great, I loved the color. But it took terrible photos. 90% were either too dark or blurry. I did not take any underwater pictures, maybe it works better that way. But I was in water and expected much better quality photos from an 18mp camera. I was disappointed in what I saw. Thank goodness for the ability to edit photos on the computer. But it could only do so much, overall the camera was a waste of money. I returned it after my vacation and I'm in the market for a better camera now.
