The inno and xm radio have exceeded my expectations. On the downside, a person would need to purchase the car kit and the antenna head phones to take full advantage of the radio.
My husband loves this! The reception is great. He likes to run with it. It's a great buy!
The antenna is too sensitive. Ex If you're wearing the unit in front of you and your facing the South No Problem, if you make just a 1/4 turn away from the south, you lose the signal. You must be 100% obstruction free to the south if you want to listen without interuption.
Purchase refurbished. Inno keypad was either locked or was defective. Delivery was fast!! Will not seek replacement because a portable radio is not what I need. I'm sure I could have found a perfectly functional refurbished INNO thru Overstock.
The Pioneer Inno is everything you could want in an mp3 player, plus a little more. There are many places to start, so I'll begin with sound quality. The sound quality is excellent, having great speakers that cancel out most outside noise and allow for a crisp sound with every detail heard. Even the bass sounds great and is noticeable, something not usually identifiable in basic head phones. The added XM Radio, which has cd quality music, is a must have. Recorded content couldn't be distinguished from a cd, its the clear! The variety of music played and channels available make this a must have. The additional features tied to XM Radio are well worth it. With 1GB of space, there is enough room to hold plenty of music to listen to, and if you decide to want different music, removing music is very easy to do. Everything is explained, and the menu's are very easy to navigate. Adjusting volume, bass, and trebel, as well as lighting options and other features only make this mp3 player more of a high end product. Overall - very worth the money, especially if XM Radio interests you.
My husband wanted one of these for Christmas so I opted for the reconditioned model to save money. It is a great little radio and I like how it plugs into my car auxilary jack and hides in the console, much better that the car version that he gave me last year. I like how the radio station logos scroll by in color, unlike my old one. I can't wait to steal it and take it to the gym and beach. It seems to operate fine, even though it is reconditioned, but a warning....the earphones were FULL of someone elses earwax. This was so nasty that my husband got his own earphones, which probably undid my good deal. My son said it looked like a years worth, so the previous owner must have had it for a long time. When I buy another one of these I may wait till the price goes down so I can get a NEW one because I don't really want somebody elses body juices.
If you are an XM subscriber then you know how much you love satellite radio with no commercials. You can connect through the headphone jack to any AUX input which makes it very versatile. You can record straight off of the satellite to the memory. That is what I use it for....then if you are in an area with no signal you can just play the songs you have recorded that you like....kinda like a mix tape. If I like the songs enough I will go purchase them online and then I can burn to a cd. The Napster service that it comes bundled with I have not used but it will sync up what you have recorded and offer to sell those songs to you. I don't think that the library on Napster is large enough to get the newest stuff I listen to. That's what has kept me from using that feature. I will try again in the future though.... Overall you will love this unit so much that you will sleep with it. It has a timer function to shut itself off and with external speakers connected you can do just that. Good luck! ---Oh and the unit I received was still in factory refurb packaging. Nice and snug. All the buttons and the screen were flawless. It looks like someone had a hard time with with the battery door before but I can always keep it attached with a little tape if it fails to stay on.
XM doesn't get strong signal as I move around Chicago. Cuts in and out. Of my 1100+ mp3's I tried to sync with it it recognized only 87. It claims the rest are not compatible or that they are not there. These files have played on all my other devices. Sound quality and the earplugs are OK.
could not be happier, just what I had been looking for at a fraction of the price. thanks overstock once again you came through for me. R. hughes
Very poor reception when not using external antenna. Tone quality is poor, Recording is very easy and play back works well. In the cradle playing through a stereo system sound quality is good, so some of the sound quality issues I have could be the headphones. I use it on a motorcycle and over all I am pleased with it
This radio works great!! I record stations at night while I'm sleeping and listen the next day at work.We have no reception for anything . When home I put it in the cradle and let it rock!! Good sound, good reception!!!
I love the kit. This is my 2nd one because I lost the 1st one. My only problem with this replacement is that its a refurb and the backing that covers the battery is a little damaged. I could have returned it and got another one but it wasn't worth the hassle of waiting 2-3 weeks so I just taped it shut. I can live with it and for the price savings, I can over look it.

My refurbished inno does not hold a charge for the full time advertised by the factory. My refurbished unit only holds a charge for only a few hours so it is not worth it for me to use it for the purposes I had in mind when I bought it. I recommend that people be very careful when considering whether to purchase refurbished electronics because what may seem like a great savings can turn out to be a total waste of money.
I've read so many reviews of this thing having poor reception & parts failing. I'm so happy to report that none of these has been the case with my little Inno. I ordered the refurb'd model, which comes with a home dock & antennae, headphones & extra earbuds, remote control, hookup cables & all booklet info. No fancy packaging, but all the necessary parts. The unit itself is immaculate. The only way you'd know it was refurb'd was the giant sticker on the back.
