Photo Printers
Remember the darkroom? In the good old days (not that many days ago) you needed chemicals, film and all sorts of time and effort to get pictures from the camera to the paper. Thanks to modern electronics, you can take digital cameras, hook them directly to photo printers, press a button or two, say "Abracadabra" and you have instant digital pictures! (Okay, the abracadabra is optional, but you get the point.)
A dedicated digital camera printer isn't a necessity, but it is one of those great camera accessories to have. No trips to the camera store or wherever that picture printer is located. No waiting for your digital photos. If you have an inkjet printer, you can use it as a photo printer; it won't be to-quality, but it will do for proofs or previews. Laser printers make excellent photo printers, but they are expensive (even at Overstock.com, they ain't cheap!). The photo printer is a great compromise: small size for affordability and high resolution for quality.
Ease of use is an added bonus. Most printers require a computer to run, to store the images and driver software. A digital photo printer can connect directly to a digital camera and print straight through. The photo printer doesn't even need to be in the same room as the computer. Making your life easier and less expensive has always been Overstock.com's number one priority.
