Excellent Value
These players have the best picture of any portable I've seen. The best part about this particular model is the ability to watch the same movie on both screens or a different one since each unit has it's own player. Highly recommended.

As advertised...
...so far so good. Picture and sound are good, set up for attaching to seats is pretty good. We've got three kids and a Honda Odyssey, so sharing one set in the back seems fine so far (attached to the two armrests so it sits in between the middle row seats). One issue is that that cigarette lighter adapter has two wires and is intended to reach to both units; that means its a bit of a stretch to get to the middle row unit (which is attached to the back of the front seat) from the back of the car, and the wires stretch across the kids. We'll see how that works out.

Phillips DVD Player
Was skeptical but took a chance--units arrived in "new" condition as advertised. Yes, they had some noticeable scratches but overall in excellent condition. Compared to putting in a fixed player--like in your headset or overhead--these units offer the flexibility to move between vehicles while allowing each child (in our case) to watch their own movie.

Long Trip
Tested this on a 20+ hour road trip to FL and back over Thanksgiving. It kept our 3 year old content and us sane. I would suggest people not go below 9" for this type of product. This allows for individual as well as synced playback so it's the most diverse/flexible portable DVD play I found. No battery for this model but batteries usually cause problems and ad to the cost so not missed for me but could be an issue for others.

Not so happy
I bought these DVD's players for my kids. The first set I sent back immediately b/c they were all scratched up and had black permanent marker on the back. I wrote that in the reason why I sent them back. The second set were even worse than the first! I understood that they were refurbished, but I have bought refurb things in the past and they looked brand new. I kept the 2nd set but probably wouldn't buy something refurb like this again the furture. As far as working, they work fine. Screen color, sound, are all fine. I would say that they are about average.
