Buyer Beware
Bought this back in February. The outside was very scratched up, but I didn't think that this would be a big deal. Used it on a long trip and it was fine until the charge ran out and we couldn't get it to work with the cigarette lighter plug. I foolishly thought that we were doing something wrong because it worked perfectly after plugging it in for a while at home. Eventually, after buying a new car adapter and still having no luck I realized that the problem was with the dvd player but it was too late to get an exchange or full refund from overstock. I was told that I could send it back and would then find out how much they would give me for it. Will not purchase electronics from overstock again.

It is ok but a little flimsy .
I had a Sony which I really loved but after a year it stopped working. Reviewing portable DVD players it seemed that they all had flaws and would inexplicably stop working, even those costing over $150.00 .After spending a week reading and comparing players this seemed the least offensive and was inexpensive. I guess I have sunk to the level of low expectations when it come to electronics. I also reviewed company support and Phillips seemed a little better than others. Two months in it is still working but so cheaply made that I am afraid it would be done if dropped. Therefore I would never buy it for children to use it because it would not last a week.

So wonderful needs to have operating booklet.
I have very low vision, but with this little piece of heaven I can watch movies while I ay in bed or go some where. Do not know why I never got one before, But, Thank you for this wonderful product.

Nice Product
This DVD player is attractive, has great sound quality and nice picture quality. I watch a lot of black & white movies with sub-standard screen clarity, and I've been pleased with this product's ability to show them clearly. This product is available in black or white, and I bought the white, which has a nice glossy exterior and interior finish. The outside is completly white, and the inside is black. It's an attractive little DVD player. Control buttons are easy to use, and options are adequate. My only complaints are: 1) the lid that shuts-down over the disk is a little flimsy and has to be pressed down securely on both sides, and 2) the power button is next to impossible to push back and forth when you have short fingernails! Apart from these two minor considerations, it's a nice little unit, and yes, I would recommend it.
