Interface is in Chinese That's right folks. Finally I got it to play. It was easy to transfer my files from my computer, and those titles are in English, but the main menus are in CHINESE. Forget this one. Plays ok, and sound is great though.

Not impressed Philips seems to be going backwards with their products. The earlier versions are so much better. First problem is that for some reason this thing feels the need to update every single time you turn it on. Doesn't matter that it's not connected to another device, it still needs to update. This process can take a good three or four minutes. I use it primarily before I exercise so what I've started doing is turning it on before I get dressed so that it's finally ready when I'm ready. Second, there is needless lag from the time you press any of the controls until something actually happens. It's not long, maybe a second or so, but no idea why it's there. Previous GoGears I've had did not have this annoyance. Third, don't plan on altering anything while you're actually using it for fear of the same updating issue. I made the mistake of trying to delete a song I was tired of right in the middle of a run and it took another 3-4 minutes to update. It took longer to update after deleting the song than the runtime of the song. I will not buy any of the new Philips products any more. The earlier version GoGear was light years better.
