This unit fail right after the 30 day warranty. It was not contstructed well (plastic casing) and the VCR portion started jamming tapes. It may be ok if children have no access to it and it is only handled carefully by adults.

Simple set up and reasonable quality for price. Purchased for grandchildren to use for VHS and DVD.

everything i buy from overstock is great quality. their prices are fantastic. I bought this player for my 86 year old mother and she loves it. easy to hook up and easy for her to use.

It' sbeen great. I had the worst DVD player in there. It doesn't have many options ON the actual machine, they're all on the remote so you better be damn sure that you don't lose it.

This unit is a 4 Stars out of 5 Stars. The remote is easy to use. Easy to set-up. This unit is the best combo DVD/VCR for the price.

We have had this DVD/VCR combo for a while now and both VCR and DVD players work really great! We are stuck in our old ways and still want a VCR to record all the shows on regular broadcast tv - Modern Family and LOST are our favorites, but watch rentals on DVD. Highly recommend this combo device! We are very, very happy!!

I was not informed this product would not operate w/older TVs. Somethhing about internal turner. I am very disappointed I have to pay for the return postage considering I was not given good information. I guess I will not be buying from you in the future. I had to go to the trouble of calling you to return. I will have to box up and spend the time going to the post office. Also I bought warranty, which I have done in the past and have had copy sent to me. I was informed you don't do that any longer. Again, I was not told about that when I placed the order. I did not call sooner because I was waiting to get my warranty. I have ordered several VCRs from you and w/o exception they have had to be sent back to you. I have several which are not working now. The above was being ordered to replace. I have been looking for my warranty, but now I realize I probably didn't get one. That means I will have to go through all this stuff again. As you can probably tell, I am not a happy camper!

The unit works great. The only problem was the remote which was a little dirty. No big deal. I am using a Philips universal remote. Both the vcr and dvd have a nice clear picture.

VCR WAS RECEIVED IN A TIMELY MANNER, AND WAS EXACTLY AS ADVERTISED...

The VCR plays a little slowly but I expected that so my only disappointment was that I can only get this to play on Channel 4, which is where I also have to run my antenna. Nothing that can't be overcome as I can't use them all at the same time anyway.

At first, I was hesitant to order a refurbished product, but then I remembered that I had purchased speakers from a well known company that have been refurbished, and they have been working fine for years. The Phillips DVD/VCR Combo player is working beautifully with no problems. We bought it to transfer our VCR tapes to DVD's with special software that we purchased. This worked out very well. The unit is quiet, and it rewinds very fast. I was not able to use the CD player, because we didn't have the unit hooked up to audio speakers.

I have purchased many items from Overstock and always have a very positive experience. Shipping is reasonable, on time and in perfect condition. Great value for the money I have to spend.

Received product quickly. Arrived without instructions or cord. Also had to purchase an adapter for it since my TV is an older model. DVDs work fine but the VCR tapes have to be pushed into the slot very gingerly because they get caught during insertion. But I guess this is what you have to expect when you buy something refurbished. From now on I'll wait until I can purchase a product in NEW condition.

the dvd/vcr I bough t lasted about 2 months, or 8 uses. According to informed sources, the capacitors have blown, nowhere near worth fixing, so more money down the drain of buyer beware, no recourse cyber commerce.I did try the contact customer service link, but was only directed to shopping or the help sitemap, no actual contact/address. a shame, I'd hoped to have found a source I could use again.

I bought this unit as a replacement for my mother. She loves it. She is elderly and disabled and has no problems using it. It was an easy setup as well. Highly recommend.
