Just what I was looking for. Well designed, easy to install. Would recommend that the fact that it is geared for a digital tv be added. Mine is not new, so had to make accomodations. Thanks to my local cable people who enabled this ole gray haired lady to get what I needed for the enjoyment of me and my grandchildren.

The price was great for a combo. We used it for about 4 months. The DVD player was noisy and eventually just stopped working and could no longer read the disk. We sent it back, thanks to the fact that we also purchased the warranty with it, it was pretty easy. Overstock has given me a credit and we'll try to find something that lasts longer. Overall not a bad deal considering the price but you'll want to get the warranty with it!

This unit takes up more horizontal space than our previous one did, but the quality and value are great!

my family loves it, it is easy to install and operate and the picture quality is really great, i would definitly recommend it to friends and family and will buy more phillips products in the future.

I bought this for my daughter, she is very pleased with the unit, and is works great! I have gotten other refurbished items from Overstock.com and never had any problems with them.

This combo is excellent, especially for the price. I bought it for the VCR, since I have many irreplaceable video tapes, and my VCR just died. But so far, not only does the VCR work great, but the DVD player works even better than the fancy DVD player that I already had. One brand new DVD skipped on the pricier DVD player, but it works perfectly on the combo. The only thing missing was the manual, which I found on the Philips Web site.

No problems, everything makes sense and works perfectly.

The player is in new-like condition. The only problem initially was that it did not come with directions. We called the oompany to get information, but everything works just fine now.

I bought this for my dad, but he is not very mechanically inclined. My son hooked it up and he said it was easy to hook up. I own a lot of DVD & VCR Tapes and belong to Netflix.

I got this for my 94 year old father because his vcr died. He has a large collection of operas and he likes to watch them. This device works just fine, not too fancy which would be beyond his capabilities at this time. The remote is pretty small and a bit difficult for him, otherwise this is a good buy especially for the money.

i really enjoy this product. i just needed something to play the kids movies on and occasionally one for us grown-ups. i am not savy technically and this was a breeze for me to set up and operate without any assistance. we have a lot of vhs tapes that i wanted to still be able to use w/o having to transfer them to dvd and this dvd plays all those scratched dvds great when our old player would skip and cut off. i think the price was excellend and i haven't been able to find a dvd/vcr combo in my area for less than $130 in any retail store.

These units are not capable of recording. They will play dvd's and vcrs but cannot be set up to go through the TV. I would not bother buying them. One of the units VCR door is stuck in the open position after one use.

The DVD stalls and is noisy when running. Obviously was not refurbished correctly. Not worth the extra money for the combination when only one side works. Will be sending this back!
