I brought this in 2008 as my first DVR and it is still going strong! It was easy to set up for a novice and the features are great.

The DVD recorder/player is just fine and the service from Overstock was excellent, as usual. What i was trying to do was not supported by my other electronics - a satellite box.

Easy to use. We have our WII hooked to it and it is very easy to switch back and forth between that and DVD's. I haven't used the recording feature yet, but the picture quality is great! Wonderful product and great price.

I was impress by the service, the price and the quality of my new DVD recorder. I was shopping for few months on it and it did not want to spent too much. This is really good product for a good price. Now I can copy my TV recordered programs to a DVD . It is friendly user.

After I finally settled down and concentrated on hooking it up correctly. And after a short learning curve, I like it very much. There's certainly nothing wrong with the machine nor the service. Like every thing I have ordered from Overstock, it has been a good experience.

The directions aren't exactly crystal clear on setting this up, but after you get over the initial hump, it is quite easy to use. They need to work on a new set of directions that don't make you bounce around all over the instruction manual.

I was impressed with the look of the product. It is very slim and attractive. The remote controls are easily understandable. It was easy to hook up to the tv and cable equipment. I would recommend this product to anyone.

my older dvd player died and i had to get a new one i wanted one that i could record some of my old disney movies onto and this worked great. It does recognize copyrights on VHS tho. It has lots of features and the philips customer care people can answer pretty much any question you have. Good picture quality

For a recorder/player this item gives you satisfaction by far. I'm really pleased and as an over all excelent quality. I would recomend this product to anyone!!

The player works great, but the remote they sent with it is awlful. It does not work very well and since there are no buttons on the machine itself it makes it very difficult to operate.

if you are looking to convert VHS to DVD you are better off getting a Recorder/Player that has both of these slots and one touch dubbing. I have a TV/VHS combo and I thought this would be just as easy to connect and record, but all I've used it for is DVD playing. There are 5 options for external feed to record DVDs but the VHS input from my TV is not one of them!! Disappointed, but will still shop at Overstock as other products I've oredered in the past have been excellent!!

I have not personally used the equipment, but it arrived in perfect condition, on time. Turned out to be a GREAT gift!
