When we pulled this unit out of the box, both my husband and I were surprised at how small it is. But once we plugged it in we were stunned at the big, rich sound! I was somewhat hesitant to buy a refurbished unit, but this has been the best purchase we've ever made through Overstocks--and we've bought a fair number of items. This speaker dock offers great audio, sleek good looks, and recharges our iPhones at a phenomenal price.

I first received a defective item-----with lots of static electricity noise. When I asked to replace, the process was super fast! Within a couple of days, I got a perfect one, before I sent out the one to return! The sound effect is wonderful. Also it comes with a travel package-----very convenient. I use it when I drive long distance. It's great. I am very happy with the product and the service. I highly recommend the product and overstock.com.

This little guy has great sound, a nice travel pouch and charges my ipod when I am traveling (when plugged in). I have used it a couple times and it is now a staple for any family trip or picnic. It's worth getting this one vs. cheaper players.

We have small ipod speaker docs in almost every room of our two homes. They help keep the noise down in the condo, and allow us to hear different music in each room of our main home. This product is the smallest we have purchased, but works well, given that we are only listening to music inside one room. The product is quite small, comes with a nice carrying case for portability (works on batteries as well as plug-in), and would be fine for small room listening. Although I was looking for something larger, I will be keeping this product as it is versatile. We have only used this product on and off for about a month, and it has worked well during this time.

I also own a bose system and while nothing can quite compar to Bose but for the price of being hundreds less this system is so fantastic we bought one a few months back and so impressed we just bought a second. Really great sound quality and the price is just right.

I bought this for work to act as dock for iPad & iPhone and work as a CPU speaker. This served that purpose pretty well with better than expected sound quality, especially at price point of $70 refurbished. Sound has pretty darn good highs and lows for small lil speaker. One design flaw - flimsy and cheap kickstand is clumsy and unstable. Disappointing. Defective battery and/or charging apparatus left cordless functionality useless. Too bad because otherwise this would be a very nice plus. This may be due to refurbished product. I will change rating to 4-5 stars if my exchange request goes through without a hitch.

Mostly does what I wanted it to do. Sound is quite good - great as a portable speaker for iTunes. Unit is not fully optimized for iPhone - while it plays iTunes through the speaker just fine, it does not play "Voice Memos" through the speaker. That is one reason I wanted it - to play lectures I had recorded. Other than that, it works just fine.

I've been looking for a small dock for my iPhone 4 that supports charging(our old JBL On Stage doesn't charge). I was contemplating buying the Bose dock, but didn't really want to shell out the big bucks, but still wanted something that sounded good and was well made. This Philips Dock fits the bill perfectly! I was hesitant at first to buy a refurbished model here on Overstock, but took the plunge and couldn't be happier. It looked brand new out of the box, well packaged. So easy to use, just plug in and go. This is a rechargeable unit and it is supposed to carry up to an 8hr charge although I have not used it outside of my house yet. It does come with a great compact carrying case and would be totally easy to transport while travelling. I am thrilled(especially for the price here on Overstock) with this little Philips Speaker Dock it fits my needs perfectly and sounds great!

We love our new ipod dock. It's fairly small, but that's what makes it great - easy to move from room to room. And it comes with a sleeve to put it in if you travel with it. GREAT SOUND! love it. And charges our ipods - a bonus.

Although I like the product, the refurbished item comes with such a big sticker on the back that is impossible to remove that I have given up trying. It is a definite eyesore and detracts from the enjoyment of the product. Please consider not placing this sticker or using one that can be removed without an industrial cleaner...

My husband loves his new ipod dock. The only reason we gave it 4 stars is because the stand doesn't stay open very well. Otherwise the speaker is amazing, the price is right and its portable! I would definitely recommend it!

The sound and look are adequate. Since it's a refurbished product, it came with a bunch of stickers pasted to it that were near impossible to remove and left a sticky half-papered surface on the dock, which I found frustrating and visually unappealing. The sound quality is fine for what it is. The stand is poorly designed and the dock frequently falls over when I pause or resume play by pressing the ipod controls. There's probably a better dock available in this price range.

I think that this is a very good product. It sounds very good for the price of a new or a refurbished unit. However, it arrived with five small dents on the back and I guess because it was a refurbished unit two stickers were on the back. One covered about a quarter of the back of the unit and the other was smaller. They were VERY stuck on and difficult to remove. It took me about thirty minutes to peel, scrape, and pry the stickers off. I had to use a solvent finally which sort of changed the appearance of the material that the "foot" is made out of but didn't seem to affect the metal backing. It was a sticky mess though and annoying.

I bought these speakers after my last ones crapped out. As previous reviewers have mentioned, these small speakers pack a real punch. I was never able to get my old speakers to emit the level of volume and quality of sound as these Philips speakers. The design is sleek, it fits perfectly on my bookshelf in front of the books, and is compact enough to make it easy to transport. Thumbs up.

I'm really glad I didn't spend the super big bucks to get something similar. This puts out a good, loud, high quality sound....it has been great for outdoor use -- picnics, bday parties, washing cars, gardening, etc.

I have been looking for a radio for my iPod and wanted to get the best deal and sounding product and I found it! This radio is awesome! It sounds great, looks good, and is portable! What else is needed! If you are looking for a good dock go with this one. The 8000 or 8500 are not worth the extra money. This is a great price for a good product.

This is a great product at a great price. While the sound may not be quite as rich as a Bose dock, it is still very good and for the price, can't be beat. It weighs practically nothing, charges quickly and has a great battery life. Literally will go anywhere you can. And the sound will fill the room. The pop-out stand is a little shaky, would be my only (slight) reservation.
