This isn't a bad product it's just mediocre.The tuner section is poor, stations that come in strong on my other radios are weak and the tuning wheel is very small so that you may need a magnifying glass to see the numbers. Docking the iPod can be tricky If your iPod has a cover you may have to remove it to insert it into the little cradle and because of the angle of the swing out cradle connecting can be nerve wracking at first. The price was attractive and the sound from the iPod isn't bad (not great). I haven't tried the CD player yet and I haven't used it with batteries so far. All things considered I'm not unhappy about this purchase, I use it to keep me company around the house while I do chores, mostly listening to podcast and music.

The Philips DC1010 is a nice little boom box. It looks nice & has faily decent sound considering its size & price.

The Philips DC1010 is not a bad product, however it looks and feels cheaply made. It does all the functions it claims but that's it. Works fine.

I received a refurbished unit, packaged in bubble wrap. The boombox was undamaged. Features that I like: Sound is on par for a low end boombox. It works for me. Ipod mount works with the box's controls to advance/play etc. Size is small and tidy Its easy to switch between CD and Ipod etc. Features that I didn't care for: Analog AM/FM tuner wheel is tiny and hard to read AM reception is all but non-existent FM tuner is rough and the numbers on the tuning wheel are off The Ipod dock has no dust cover Summary: I'm satisfied with what I received for my money and as long as you don't expect too much from this unit, you'll be happy with it. Shipping and ordering from Overstock was easy and fast with good tracking info provided.

Poor sound quality. Also, the product did not come with the I-Pod attachments which are needed to use an I-Pod. I wish I had not bought it.

This is my beach buddy. Love this portable boombox because of the different options I can listen to music.

This radio has good reception on both AM and FM. Ihave batteries in mine and carry it around with me in the yard. It seems to be very easy on battery life. I am still on my first set of batteries. This product is well worth the money.

I was very disappointed in this item. Since it is a Philips I thought it would have decent speakers but the sound is just horrible. I also found the dock for the ipod difficult to use. It is awkward to set the ipod in the dock. The boombox is also large and encompassing. I would have sent it back but the box was thrown out, I gave it to my kids to use. Overall while the price was great I would have been better off to spend a bit more for a better product. I would not recommend this item

Product is not bad for the price. It does not have a digital tuner (it's old school). Sound quality is ok, but what do you expect for the price... I would give 3 1/2 stars instead.

This is the perfect little "boom box" if you want to carry around something that will let you play your ipod, play a CD, or listen to the radio. We use it in our huge shop and it works just great. Can't believe the price as the last one we had was way more expensive, larger to haul around, and didn't work nearly as well.

This is a GREAT little boombox to take to the beach! Great sound and i can even charge my Ipod on it! Disc's play great also......great buy!

Pros--> Light, sleek, and very portable. Pretty loud sound with noticeable bass booster. Handy rotating knob to fit ipods of different sizes. Charges ipod but stops when boombox battery life is low Cons--> CD Player stops playing cds and ipod skips (on high-full volume) when batteries are low. But radio always works, which is confusing --> Overall, excellent value if willing to change batteries frequently to play at full capacity *Note* my boombox usage is bit excessive, often playing for half a day sometimes.

First off, I received this within 2 days of placing the order, so huge credit to Overstock for their prompt service. As for the radio itself, we ordered 2 units. One is for our kitchen (as we spend quite a bit of time there, preparing meals and hand-washing the dishes), and the other is for our 1-year old daughter's room, so we can play a burned CD of static all night long, helping her sleep through the night. Both radios work fantastic. I gave it a 4-star because you're not going to get dynamic sound. That's not any sort of a jab at Overstock, or Philips themselves. It's just the fact it's a small boombox with limited audio capabilities. It's a reliable product, and VERY MUCH worth the price. The multiple functionality is great. I prefer connecting my iPod Touch through an Aux cable in the back of the unit, rather than placing it directly in the front compartment. It allows me to check run apps easier while it's in use. One of the selling points was the fact there would be back-ups in place, should one of these components fail.

I needed music for my patio. This was the perfect combination radio, ipod and dvd for my situation. NOT TO MENTION THE PRICE WAS FANTASTIC!

I ordered based on the others reviews and I am not disappointed. Now it's no Bose! : ) But it is a lot better than the iHome player I bought a couple years ago for double the money.

I am very pleased with the quality and sound of this product. The only small problem is it is a little tricky to get an ipod nano in perfectly, but it is possible. I use it primarily in my bedroom, so I haven't had the problems some reviews have talked about with the volume not getting loud enough. For in a room, it gets plenty loud. I think this is a great little boom-box and I would recommend it.

Bought this for our 15 year old son for Christmas -- he loves it! It has everything he needed, and it's portable with the handle, which is great as he can take it into different rooms. I especially like that it charges while it plays. Many models at this price point don't charge. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommend.

We purchased two Phillips DC1010 radio's for our twins and both are very satisfied.
