I think it is a great blu ray player though allittle bigger than some of the compition. and i find it takes a while to load and get going but the pic is awsome.

• How did the image on site compare with the actual product? it was accurate
• Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? yes
• Please tell us about the quality of the product. it was in new condition even though it was referbushed

We have only used the machine 2x but it works fine - very pleased with the quality of the item. At this tme would recommend

I had read other reviews about this product and everyone seemed positive. Without the firmware upgrade the unit locked up on the first movie I tried to watch. The upgrade procedure is on the Phillips website, and if you follow it exactly it will work fine. If you aren't comfortable doing this, i would avoid buying unless they guarantee it has been done before shipping.After the upgrade I haven't had any problems. The picture is great on my Phillips flat panel

The unit is very easy to use, it has excellent picture quality in 1080i and the menus are easy to navigate without wondering what is going on.
