Refurbish quality was very nice. I had to look very hard to find any scratches. Volume of the headphones seemed a bit weak but could have just been the headphones themselves. I bought new one's so maybe that will crank it up a bit more. Overall, very pleased with the price and quality.

This item fits my needs just fine. The quality is great even though it is refurbished. The sound quality is great, and it has a feature that lets me bookmark my CDs if I'm listening to an audiobook (and I do that a lot!) The hold feature is also welcome since it prevents accidental turn-on that drains the batteries. I use it at work and can get 2-3 days of listening out of 2 AA batteries. I'd definitely recommend this player.
