The TV that we purchased is still being repaired. It did not work when it arrived. It took over a week to get approval to send it to an authorized dealer (We had to find our own). We even had to hand carry it ourselves to the TV repair shop. Hopefully it works when we finally get it back. We paid for this on 3/5, as of today, we still can't use it.

Received my tv about a month ago. I was very surprised to find that it was an HD. Got it hooked up to my dish and found that the picture was outstanding without having to upgrade my service to HD. Thank you very much.

I bought this refurbished Philips 37" LCD HDTV for the football season. This is my first HDTV and I ma quite happy with the technology. I mounted this TV on the wall over the fireplace. The TV is supposed to come with these special risers for mounting, if they are not there (mine weren't) , the mounting kit you'll need is third party and should contain the hardware needed. I am getting my HDTV feed through cable company converter's HDMI and able to run cable coax straight from wall into TV to get the PIP function. It has two easy access HDMI inputs on the bottom and a easy to access side panel for another input (DVD, PC, etc.) The HDTV tuner will pick up sub-channels which surprisingly allows straight HDTV reception without the cable converter for the unscrambled broadcasts. The TV will accept firmware updates through a USB connection that appears to be quite easy to use if computer literate. The two minuses are well documented on web blogs. The picture sometimes will flicker, mostly in split screen PIP mode but will fix itself with turning the TV off then back on. The sound on a HDTV broadcast will sometimes not pick up but it you change channel and return it will also. Overall, the watching enjoyment of HDTV outweighs the few nagging bugs in the TV itself. It also gives me a better appreciation of refurbished electronic equipment.

I am pleased with this purchase. No software issues as previously mentioned in reviews. Very easy to set up and optimize the set using the manual. Good picture and good sound. It came with the wrong stand. Philips customer care had the correct one to me within a couple of days and were very courteous over the phone. Good value for the money.

The television was as it was represented. Unfortunately it was flawed- they handled it perfectly and I had a replacement with 48 hours. I am very pleased with my purchase.

I¿ve got my tv not long ago, tv is ok but when ordered I missed that it was refurbished( my mistake), would not ordered if I would know that it will come with loosed parts inside but tv still works I do not know for how long.

The TV has a nice dark black screen when off, which makes for a very sharp picture. The sound quality from the speakers is beautiful.

I have now owned this TV for more than 2 years. Thought let me write a honest review to help others who are planning to buy this TV. The packaging was good when it arrived by UPS and the installation was also very easy. We had a problem with the speakers that came with the TV, but the service guy came and replaced the speakers for no charge. If you are undecided as to whether to buy this TV or not, then 'Go ahead and order it'. The picture quality is awesome. I had bought a small indoor TV antenna to use with my old TV several years ago. I simply connected that antenna to this Philips TV and Wow! I was able to get all the local TV channels in High Definition. High Definition picture quality is unbelievable and breath-taking. Now, I get cable channels also on HD through Directv. This television is very good.

My parents were searching for a new TV, and getting very discouraged by the prices. I talked them into letting me order a TV from Overstock for them. I had to show them the bill, because they didn't believe they got this TV for the price! My mother still insists I somehow paid more, and convinced Overstock to write up a purchase order for a smaller amount!! The TV is terrific, and my parents are thrilled at watching their beloved Red Sox in High Definition. Mom finally wants computer lessons, just so she can shop at Overstock! I may have created a monster!!

I was skeptical to purch a TV online but a refurbished one scared me even more! So far, it's been up and running 2 wks - no prob. Not sure what was done but there is an itty bitty scratch - everything else looks great. Cannot get PIP to work yet but will ck with the manual again. Also, a new remote takes a little bit to get used to. Easy set up... 30 minutes max. Box had everything we needed and was in good shape when it arrived, with a little "refurbished note". We had been looking at TVs in stores and knew we wanted a Philips or Sony. This one gives us more than we need.

Great TV, Picture is good quality and met all my expectations. Was remanufactured but unable to tell the difference from a brand new set!

Although you could go into a store and buy a comparable TV for a few bucks more... This one was delivered to my front door for $1! Everthing about this TV is excellent. The look, the sound, the features... if you are thinking about buying this TV - go ahead and Buy It!

What a great TV, the best one I've owned yet. Easy to set-up, beautiful picture, Light weight easy to move. Will be buying another one for our family room.

I've bought 2 of these tv's. Not one problem, great picture ,excellent deal!! You can't go wrong for the price and i bought the 2 year warrenty as well . definetly worth the money .

Got it at a great price. Connections are hard to get to when it's mounted to the wall. MAke sure you have a diagram or a picture before you put it up.

The TV arrived with a broken corner of the housing, and features that do not work. What was refurbished I do not know, but the set is not worth the price I paid for it, but at least it works to watch movies on, so I'll keep it for that as it's not worth the hassle of trying to send it back in a busted up box. Will "Never" buy another piece of electronics again online!!!
