The product I received wasn't damaged or scratched at all on its outer appearance, however, the tv itself does not work correctly. It turns off on its own about five minutes after you turn it on and then continues shutting off every thirty seconds or so. Also, the remote only works about a forth of the time only after taking out the battery and putting it back in several times. I now have to ship the product back to the manufacturer to have it replaced, and that inconvenience far outweighs any reasons I may have purchased it in the first place.

I purchased this TV to put in my bedroom. I originally had a 25" tv in the room. I though the 23" might be a little small, but it turns out that it looks the same, if not better, than the 25" because of the wide screen. I would definitely recommend this tv to anyone.

The product turned out to be of exceptional quality.. In the original packaging with not a single scratch on the system. I have a 27 inch HDTV Samsung that doesn't visually compare to this baby. Like others have said, the small channel numbers are a little ridiculous, but you'll soon forget all about that once you see the picture. Playing a 360 on this is incredible. I never would have noticed that this was a refurbished model, everything was of impeccable quality and looks brand new. The only problem I had was that the remote didn't work. If your looking for a new HDTV with stunning picture quality at a phenomenal price, this Phillips is the one for you!

Regarding the type size of the channel number display and the closed captions: They are both barely readable unless one is sitting closer than five feet from the screen. Their support says that there is no remedy, as the type size is fixed. When moving from one channel to another or changing settings (channel, sound, volume etc) the indicator on the screen lasts at the most one second. In addition the lowest sound setting is still high. I have it in my bedroom and basically cannot watch it when others in the family are retiring for the evening. Quality of sound and picture are good, but you really have to plan out what type of environment this will be used in. If I had known this I never would have bought this product. I am very disappointed and would really question purchasing any other Phiips products in the future . I would STRONGLY recommend that prior to purchase, you go down to your local retailer to verify these issues and understand these potential issues.

Even though this product was marked as "refurbished", it came to me in the original packaging and all materials were there as if it was brand new. It was easy to set up and a great value for the money paid. Shipping was quick. The audio is very loud. I have it on setting 1 most of the time and that still seems louder than it needs to be sometimes. The menus are a little confusing at first, but once you get used to where things are, it is not bad. Thanks so much for a great product.

This product is very good for your bedroom and the sound quality is great, you don't need to boost it with an amp.

This TV is sweet! It's the perfect size for my bedroom as was easily mounted on the wall. My only complaints are along the same lines as others who have purchased this product... The numbers and volume display on the screen are very small (fortunately I don't need glasses). Also, volume at it's lowest is still pretty loud! I keep it on 1 a majority of the time and it's too loud for me to fall asleep to. Finally, the remote control isn't lit but it was very easy to get to know it by touch. That being said, I am extremely pleased with my purchase and have already gotten a lot of good use out of it! The value is great and, with the minor inconveniences, I can't complain.

Got it for my kids.... now I want one! I'm not a big fan of video games, but now that I see them on this screen.. I get it! One thing I will say, the set we got is not the one pictured. It's the same item #, but it looks different. Our speakers ( which sound AMAZING by the way) are located at the bottom of the set.

Well, I had finally decided to make the move to flat screen and wanted something slightly larger than my old one, but not overwhelming. This one is perfect! Like some others, I had a bit of difficulty with the set-up (lack of provided instructions) and there was a little bit of damage to the lower right-hand side of the casing (but out of immediate sight), but the price was excellent, so we'll let that slide... The picture and sound quality are awesome. I don't subscribe to HD, so I didn't expect to see such a difference, but the picture quality is absolutely gorgeous. Really love this one!

I am very happy with this LCD TV. We ordered it for our bedroom and it is just what we wanted. The customer help to set up is great and super easy.

Love the tv. The pic is fantastic and I have no problems w/the sound as the other consumers did. The only thing that I can complain about is that screen has a little damage to it (a dot the size of a pencil eraser). But for the price I can live w/it. Overall I am very pleased w/this purchase.

Easy to use, set up, great picture, Just Easy Easy Easy..........

I was a little nervous ordering a refurbished television, but it arrived in a timely fashion and was incredibly easy to set up. The picture quality is great and I am not having any problems with it at all. It is an excellent TV for my bedroom. I have a cable box which is also an HD receiver so I was able to watch HD channels immediately. It has been wonderful for the baseball playoffs.

The outer box was slightly tattered , but otherwise perfect. Excellent price

i resisted buying a new tv because i didn't want to spend a ton of money (i'm a grad student). this was the perfect compromise - new, hd, flat screen and affordable.

We are really enjoying our new tv! It works great, the picture quality is excellent when the TV show is in high-def (a little pixelly when it's not), and the sound on the TV is really excellent. It almost sounds like surround sound it's so good. We love it!

This is a good television. We liked that it can hang on the wall and also be used for a computer monitor. It's got a nice, slim body that fits on a dresser or looks good on a wall. The only draw back that we have found is that in a small room, the volume is very loud, even on the lowest setting. Otherwise a good price for a good television.

So far I'm very pleased with my purchase. It produces good sound and quality and the size is just prefect. Only problem I'm having is finding a store that carries the battery for the remote.

I got the TV intact, like new. It was kind of a hassle to intall the stand, but after a while I got it on fine. The tv has great features. like picture format ,and surround sound. Plenty of jacks to connect, your HD DVD, DVD, VCR, Cable, and even your PC. Yes; the tv can simultanously whiched from a tv to a computer monitor w/ a push of a botton.

This is the second Philips television I have bought from Overstock.com. I absolutely love it and call also use it as a monitor for my computer.
