Worked well for the first 6 months, then suddenly stopped working! Now, for some unknown reason, it's working again. Strange, but not complaining! For the price, we've gotten our money's worth already.

Very Pleased

mcnonnie from Northern California, Dec 25, 2009

I've been wanting a Divx (avi) format dvd player with USB for ages and was thrilled to find this at Overstock. I can transfer to a flash drive/memory stick from my computer and plug in to the front panel USB and off it goes. I can store my files on an external drive and I don't have to burn to a disk anymore. My understanding is that any USB connection must be formatted as FAT32 and that will limit the size of the drive you can connect via USB, but a 4Gig has been perfectly adequate for my needs. My only complaint is that I wish it would 'pause' for a longer period of time before shutting off.I purchased the 2 year replacement warranty only because the unit was refurbished. Even if it only works for 2 years it cost averages out to about fifty cents a week and I can live with that.

I bought this item as "refurbished" , but it looks like new.It came very well packaged, with a remote (no batteries) and video cables.Plugged in a USB drive with an .avi movie and detected and played it with no problem.I bought a second one for my parents.

Perfect

For the money, can't beat it. Plays everything I throw at it, all burned movies, no issues.
