I bought this product thinking it might be a mistake. but when it came in, i was surprised by the way it sounded. i fell in love with the sound quality. pictures so clear and the sound was just great. plus it was so easy to set up.

We just got it today! Wow my husband had it set up in less than 20mins,the cables are color coated, nice easy set up. The sound is phenomenal the picture is also WOW! It looks BETTER in person than in the picture! Its pretty easy to use, not that we've had this problem yet but if your electronics are saying an error message when you put something in it try cleaning the lens, Be careful A cotton swab would work to clean it. My husband is in love with electronics LOL and said he'd give this a 10 and hes named it "boom boom" LOL! So two very VERY happy customers.

I purchased the Philips 1000-watt 5.1 DVD Home Theater System (refurbished) for my boyfriend's birthday. He easily hooked it up with two different televisions and it works great! The sound quality is fantastic, bass is booming, and the balance is perfect. Great product especially for a refurbished system. An added plus, it plays ipods

Love it I placed it in my gym and it keeps the beat going to my work out. I would buy refurbished from overstock again!! Not from ebay...but overstock YES!!!

This system satisfies both my fiance and I: he wanted a system that had great sound for our small family room and I wanted something that looked nice and wasn't expensive. Compared to other systems that we looked at, the price was great. Although our refurbished product did have a slight ding in it, it isn't noticeable to anyone but my fiance. He is technical and approved of its specifications. To me, it just sounds awesome when we are watching action movies, or just want to plug in our ipod. So overall, this system will satisfy those that know about home theater systems and for those that don't, but care about the look and price.

I have purchsed refurbished before, so I was expecting some minor nicks and scratches. The box was a mess, however, the unit was very well protected and I did not see any scratches or nicks. The only damage was on a grill on the back was dented. It is good little unit, can be a little difficult to get everything going, and the remote will not work other Philips products (not supriesed, my Philips Flat screan will not run a Phililps DVD player, and vice versa) Universal remotes will also not work, execpt turn the unit off. The sould is very good, and the surround is sound is very good. The only draw back is you cannot control the sound to the rear spakers.

I have found the product to work satisfactory. Has good sound. You will need to buy and HDMI cable to connect for best video and audio. Also the instruction book was a photocopy. But, at least I received one.

This is the first home entertainment system I have ever owned and I am just amazed by it. It was extremely easy to setup and connect to my tv. The surround sound really sound great and very east to setup the speakers around the room. Picture quality is great for movies. I really enjoy this product and recommend it.

Best bang for the buck. Tried a few other systems but, none gave the quality sound that I desired. Easy to hook up and install. Shipping was fast and direct. It was packed very professionally and arrived very expeditiously.

Excellent sound. Easy setup. Probably would have preferred wireless rear speakers but made it work for my room. Too bad not able to adjust speaker levels or EQ. Overall very pleased for that price.

It was purchased for a gift to my daughter. Set up was easy and the sound was more than expected. What an absolutely pleasant surprise.

I purchased this for my boyfriends Christmas present... He liked it alot. A little trouble setting it up as there are wires connected to all the speakers. We also had trouble getting one of the back speakers to work. Occasionally we have a problem getting it to properly turn on, it comes on then goes to stand by and we have to unplug to get it back to the setting it needs to be on. But overall we are very happy with this system. The ipod dock is convinient and the output is great. We have only turned it up to 10 and that is movie quality surround.

This product and value is great! Sound fills the entire room.

I bought this Phillips unit brand new & in less than a year the DVD player started working only intermittently and shortly after a year the sound quit. VERY disappointing because it had a great picture and the sound was powerful and clear. Phillips customer service is one of the worst to deal with and aren't helpful at all . . .

I've had this for a week now and have no complaints. The price was a true bargain and it sounds magnificent. I am happy and the process from start to finish was very professional. A great find!

This product would not play any disc (the entire reason for its existence). Still trying to get reimbursed by Philips. Their customer service representatives supplied inconsistent instructions. Overall bad experience.

Sound is fine and enough power for my room. There are not enough input jacks for a multi source system. All in all a fair buy.

This system is awesome. The sound is UNBELIEVABLE!!! The bass is so deep it rattles the windows. Set up was a breeze. I highly recommend this system to anyone who wants great sound for not much money.

I purchased this Home Theater and the first one I received had a problem with the rear speaker jacks. I spoke to overstock and they replaced the system and it's absolutley wonderful. I love the Ipod dock and the sound is incredible!! Other than that little hitch, it's perfect!!
