Had this unit for almost 2 years. Great for playing cd/s, divx file directly from usb. Slow at starting and changing sources. Sound quality is not bad and it gets pretty loud. it came with a dent on the front but not too noticeable. good product for the time, but the newer version looks better and is cheaper.

Not bad for the money. The high sounds are pristine. But I like a little more base during bombs in games and explosions in movies. Adjusting the sounds is cumbersome.

The box was beat up a bit when it got here. Factory refurbished might be a bit of a stretch. It was packed in bubble wrap, and not styrofoam. Most of the iPod adapters were missing. Luckily I had mine that came with the iPod Touch. The case of the receiver was abit scratched, and the fabric on the sub woofer was a little worn. Otherwise, it sounds great. and has been performing just fine. Knock on wood.

I bought this well over a year ago. Did not look any different than new. Everything was there. I set it up according to the directions and I am not a handy person. I bought it strictly for my dance room use (iPod and records) and it has worked great. Since then, my son, blast him, has used it when he can get away with it. It is currently be used as TV surround and sounds great. However, the iPod dock no longer works and really can't figure out why.

Bought this about less than a month ago. Hard to set up initially especially if you have an older TV. Surround sound works fine but the DVD player worked only once! Now I have to go through all the hassle of returning it. It was a good deal and it would have done a great job for its purpose if it only worked. Very disappointed!

Everything was fine with the unit until we tried to use the Remote Control. It works sporadically (at best)and we have gotten used to walking over to it (hence the "Aerobic" moniker). Features are only Average because the system lacks enough Input/Output connections to (only one HDMI; no Headphone jack; etc.). Still, for the money, it was by far the best deal.

I ignored all the comments about one of these breaking, thinking it wouldn't happen to me... works about 70% of the time and produces good sound when it does, but then inexplicably seizes up and ends the party until two days later, when it starts working again. Occasionally I get sound through the sub but not the speakers. No telling what this machine will do. It reminds me of when I owned a Saab.

I've been enjoying this new home theater system for a few weeks now. It was easy to set-up and is very low profile in my living room. The sound is FABULOUS. I did purchase an after market FM antenna to pick up radio stations because the antenna included picked up a lot of interference from the surrounding electronics.It is definitely refurbished, as the pieces have scratches on them--they simply appear to be used. Not a problem for me--I love the idea of purchasing refurbished electronics!Delivery was prompt; less than a week.

This Philips home theater system is a very good and complete sound machine to have. If you're not to big in music, then this is what you need because the sound quality is oustanding.

This thing ROCKS! I'll get my 2 complaints outta the way 1st.... there is a bit of a delay from when u hit the button on the remote for the unit to respond. Slightly annoying at times, no biggie tho. 2nd is when I have it set to "DI" (Digital Input-my HDTV is wired to it this way) it occasionally, but repetitively, displays "Dolby Digital Surround" or somethin like that, and every time it does theres a 1 or 2 second interruption in the sound, like a quick mute. Other than that this thing is PERFECT! It gets LOUD! The surround makes me feel I'm at the theatre, and the up-converting dvd player DEFINITELY makes the picture better!

My wife and I bought this home theater system for our bedroom. We were/are very impressed with the overall quality and sound of this system-1000 watts. The item arrived quickly and packaged as if it was brand new, although it was a refurbished unit. The sound quality is rich and room filling. The features are impressive. I can dock my iPod and control it with the enclosed remote control. We were also pleased to find out that it did include an AM/FM tuner. Great quality product for a great price!! Very nice checked around for a better deal couldn't find one to beat overstock price. This system is great & the sound is awesome. Fast delivery, I just cant get it to work with my tv sound.Only works playing dvd & cds haven't use the ipod dock yet

Product received in very timely manner and went together quickly. The sound is great and fills our basement with movie like sound. Though we can easily rattle the windows, we keep it down to acceptable levels. A great improvement to our entertainment center. How did we ever get along without it.

It works fine and has made many good movies, parties, and sporting events better. It was a great price too.

HD dvd player, but no HD dvds are playing properly in it. The sound is great, it comes with good features...but it takes a long time to load. For such a good price, I guess it's worth it. But only because of the set backs that come along with it.

The sound is phenomenal! I love it... I send to my Country as a gift to my wife and next week I'm getting another one for me here in NY.
