The biggest difference I've found is the manual transmission feature simply doesn't work. After setting it for M/T, it runs/works just as if it was still in automatic mode. Not really an issue since the starter wont turn with the parking brake on anyhow, just something to note.
Aside from that, this thing works great, I've been using it from easily 700-800ft away from in a grocery store every time I go there, works every time. The alarm works great, the one thing I do have to stress is that if your going to buy a cheap (like this) unit, dont use the shock sensors built into it. Just goto any security store and pick up glass break sensors for a house (the wired type you stick on the window), using a relay you can make these work with any automotive alarm. It's easily the cheapest way to get an amazing alarm system.
I dont think it mentions it on here, but this unit also has a port for a microwave sensor (mine is currently wired to a PIR instead...had it laying around)
All in all this is a great bang for the buck product, it's obviously a bit cheaply made and the instructions could be better, but for the price you get way more than you paid for. You really should expirience either installing alarms or circuitry in general to do this install, if you plan on having a shop install it, I would suggest getting a viper as this unit has a lot of features and will cost a good bit to have entirely hooked up by a shop for time.
