This alarm system was installed in o2 and I'm pleased with it's performance. I love the window feature. I will say that the replacement remotes are next to impossible to find. I was told to purchase a new system that the cost of replacing the remotes would be about the same, if I could find them.I'm really happy that I found the system on Overstock, and the price was amazing.Where can I get replacement remotes if I need them again?
This iteam is ok, but to expensive to install. Everything seems to be all nice and all but when I took it to get installed they told me I have to get my Keys to my car re-programed and that was about 200.00 dollars each, and they I had to get an additional piece and that was 100.00 dollars, and to install it, it would have been 170.00 so over all I would have been spending way more money then I would have. So thats why I returned it. So if you have a car with a chip in your keys dont buy it, but other then that I would have to say this car alarm is pretty cool, but dies on you really quick so get the warrenty on it.
prestige alarm is an excellent alarm to have most of all my friends have this alarm and had no complaints about it. i will recommend this alarm to anyone.
The biggest difference I've found is the manual transmission feature simply doesn't work. After setting it for M/T, it runs/works just as if it was still in automatic mode. Not really an issue since the starter wont turn with the parking brake on anyhow, just something to note. Aside from that, this thing works great, I've been using it from easily 700-800ft away from in a grocery store every time I go there, works every time. The alarm works great, the one thing I do have to stress is that if your going to buy a cheap (like this) unit, dont use the shock sensors built into it. Just goto any security store and pick up glass break sensors for a house (the wired type you stick on the window), using a relay you can make these work with any automotive alarm. It's easily the cheapest way to get an amazing alarm system. I dont think it mentions it on here, but this unit also has a port for a microwave sensor (mine is currently wired to a PIR instead...had it laying around) All in all this is a great bang for the buck product, it's obviously a bit cheaply made and the instructions could be better, but for the price you get way more than you paid for. You really should expirience either installing alarms or circuitry in general to do this install, if you plan on having a shop install it, I would suggest getting a viper as this unit has a lot of features and will cost a good bit to have entirely hooked up by a shop for time.

All installation shops in town refused to install this unit. Several shops could not believe this unit was still on the market due to the many issues.
In my opinion its the best automatic starter i've had, and I had three before this one. I love the feathers and the appearance of the remote. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in a remote starter security system.
My husband had a hard time getting this installed in his car. It is a very complicated item. The item does have great features.
I received this product, & right out of the package I loved it! Then come to find out there was more to the product than I expected! It was everything I needed to make my truck more convenient & secure!
Installed alarm at a local shop and is working great.
We did the installation on the alarm for an 81 El Camino and it took a minute to get the wiring figured out on the vehicle but the alarm was simple. Then we connected it to shaved door poppers which allows me to only have one remote. I love this alarm, it was my greatest investment.
