This is NOT a home office phone, unless you have 8 other people working in your home on the same phone. What APPEARS to be 8 speed dial buttons on the right side are actually EXTENSIONS, which assume you're hooked up to other desks. If you're the only one with this phone, those buttons are useless. I was expecting a phone with speed dial visible from the console. This one does have speed dial, but you have to go through some steps to get to the directory. A hassle. Not the phone it appears to be in the photo. LOOK CAREFULLY. If you're outfitting your office with several phones, THEN it's a good buy.
I was looking for a good speakerphone because I often work from home and am on lots of conference calls all day long. With my cordless phones, I couldn't keep one charged enough to make it through a day of back-to-back calls. With this Panasonic I don't have to worry about that. The sound quality of the speakerphone is very good and it has other typical phone features such as mute, redial and phone directory. The display is not all that great, but it's serviceable. Since I was mainly looking for a good speakerphone, this unit fits the bill.
That was feature #1 for me on this phone, and it is absolutely wonderful. It's clear, crisp, and loud enough to be heard clearly 20 feet away in an adjoining room. Overall, the phone seems to be very well made despite how light it is, and I'm extremely pleased with it.
nice little unit, 2 line input. You can plug up to 8 extensions in at once, and circuitry built right into the phone gives you basic PBX functionality. Sound quality is great, and the unit is compatible with aftermarket office headsets, both wired (via a 2.5mm jack on the side of the phone) and wireless (by plugging into the handset jack). Be aware that the units communicate with each other using the same frequency used by the phone company to serve you DSL, so don't expect PBX functionality if you have one of those little DSL filters on each of your phones. You can solve this by putting a DSL filter very near the incoming phoneblock, and just have the dsl modem on the 'other side', exposed to the DSL signal. The rest of the phones would be filtered, and then the PBX functionality should work.
I put this phone in my husbands office. We have been very pleased with the features and the quality of this phone.
I run a small investment firm. When looking for an office phone the most important feature I look for is speakerphone audio quality. I prefer speaking hands free but most phones have terrible speakerphone quality. On most models the sound is so bad that people actually request that you be taken off speaker. This is not the case with this phone. Its been the best speakerphone I have ever used and have had no complaints from people on the other end. The only minus would be lack of line options as it only has 2 lines and only 3 speed dial options(not important to me personally) Great price too.
This product did meeting my expectations. this isn't the first phone I have purchased,

We love Panasonic phones for the office and have used them over a number of years. This particular model is great because it has several functions on it that are useful such as an intercom. Saves getting up or shouting through the office that "so and so" is on the phone! We bought 3 of these because we lost the last 3 to a lightening strike!

I bought this phone to replace an older GE speaker phone that was vulnerable to RF interference everytime my BlackBerry was within 5 feet of it. The Panasonic is quiet in an RF rich environment, easy to use, provides great Speaker Mode sound quality, and has been otherwise flawless to date.
These phones are a very good two line business phone. I bought these phones as re-furbished and they were brand new. I got them for about half price at Overstock.Com.
Excellent quality phone. Sturdy and functions well. Would definitely recommend it.
I bought this phone to use in my home office for work. The speakerphone is very clear,. It's easy to use. Mute and caller ID appear in the display nicely. I haven't used all of the bells and whistles, but am very pleased with this phone and quality of the features I have used.
I bought the phone based on the many good reviews of others because we are opening a home-based business soon. I still need to read the instructions to figure out the 2-line function, so I haven't really used the phone yet. I tried the speaker--had my six-year-old granddaughter call the number, and it is awesome. I look forward to using the phone on a daily basis once we are up and running!
I ordered three of these phones for offsite offices. I read through the description and it seemed to have everything. It is listed as a "perfect phone system for the home or office." I don't know how that is possible since there is no voicemail and no built in answering machine. After receiveing the phones, I had to order separate answering machines. I would have bought a different model in the first place if I had realized that this phone provided no way to leave a message.
These phones are great---loaded with features and fairly intuitive to use. The display is of generous size and easy to read. It's a great system for a small office of up to eight extensions. The intercom feature is a nice addition also. We did not experience any interference from our DSL service at all.
I wanted a good desk top speaker phone, and this one works great. The only drawback is I wish it had more speed dial buttons.
