Link2Cell and other features are Great. I am really enjoying my Panasonic KX-TGE263S. Even though it is a refurb it looks and performs great. It arrived in a brown box and shrink wrapped, which made me a little skeptical, but all is well so far. I did purchase the 3 year extended warranty for added security and peace of mind. Even with the extended warranty purchase (which is now longer than the manufacture's warranty) it is still less than you would pay for a new unit. Like I mentioned the features are great. It links with my two cellphones when I arrive home and disconnects when I leave. When any of my phones receives a text message any of the three handsets light up and beep twice. Also when I receive a phone call on either of my cell phones I can answer the call with any of the three handsets even though my cells are on charge. It allowed me to import all my contacts to the system and when I receive a call it announces who the caller is or the phone number of the caller. Prior to getting this phone I would have to take my cell all over the house with me or risk missing a call because I did not hear my cell phone ringing in the bedroom or another part of the house. Now I have one of the handsets on a charger in three rooms I most use and when a call comes in on either cell phone or my land line all handsets light up and ring so I can catch the all no matter what part of the house I am in. I have not had to use the feature being able to receive calls even in times of power loss. Also if I miss a call and the base takes a message, I can retrieve the message on anyone of the handsets and the messages are very clear and time and date stamped. Also you can make cell calls using the handsets. Just choose which cell phone or the land line you want to use to make your call. I have experienced a little echo when making a cell call using the handsets. I am not sure what it sounds like on the other end. But so far my mother, who has diminished hearing has not complained about not being able to understand me, so this is a good indication that the unit functions well. The only reason why I am not giving this phone a 5 star is because it is a refurb and still fairly new and time will tell if it will perform well months from now. I think you too will enjoy this phone/answering machine and find the features very useful.

It's as good as the one I replaced. The entire reason for getting this phone rather than any other was the Bluetooth capability to connect with a headset. I've tried three different headsets, none of which it could connect. Otherwise the phone is as good as any other.

Thank for researching my question. According to another review I saw on a competitors website, the Link2Cell Bluetooth feature works stand alone with cellphone no landline is needed. I will give a review in a few weeks.
