If you need to review informational or study disks on the go, this is the one for you! Easy to carry along, plug in earphones and you are in the seminar without bothering your traveling companions. Be up to speed on the presentation when you step off the plane, and no juggling because of size as with a laptop.

We love this player! The only negative is that we don't feel it is truly a 6 hour battery - slightly less. Other than that, we used it on a recent long airplane flight and it was great!

The Panasonic DVD-LS855 8.5-inch LCD Portable DVD Player (Refurbished) I purchased is fantastic. It has great audio and video components. The screen size is wonderful for viewing. Operation is a breeze. Battery lasts about 3 hours when continued viewing at one time, but lasts 5 - 6 hours when viewing in sessions. The product quality is of high value.

Picture is sharp and crisp. I wish it had the "closed caption" capability so I could watch Frasier with this option. Sound is not very loud at the maximum level. Would not play some DVDs which could play on my Vista notebook though. I do like the fact that there are 2 ports for the headset so my boyfriend can use his headset simultaneously. User friendly and does have enough features to watch most DVDs. The battery does retain its charge for a couple of days. I have already taken this player to a couple places to watch DVDs whenever I take a break. I have been able to watch an entire movie when the brightness is set at the mid-level. If you want a good DVD player at a very reasonable price, buy this. I bought the refurbished player and was very pleased to see that it appears new but did not have the original manufacture's box.

Bought this for a long car trip from Cleveland to New England. Kept my little ones occupied and happy. Easy to mount and extremely light weight. Speakers almost irrelevant once vehicle is moving so make sure you have headphones (there are two jacks so both kids are happy). Can't comment on battery life as we used the car adaptor. Getting to the top menu of a disc was sometimes an adventure but not sure it is related to the player. Picture was quality was fine. All in all a perfectly satisfying purchase.
