Palm Zire...Your new friend
from Grass Valley, CA,  Aug 22, 2008

If you are busy like I am and always on the go the Zire is the Palm for you. It is pretty simple to learn the only thing that is difficult is downloading the extra games, reader install etc... on a MAC. On a PC I am sure it would be a lot easier. Overall I would recommend (and have) to all my friends. Everything in your world in the palm of your hand. LOVE IT!!!

Easy, basic...
from Sumter, SC,  Jun 20, 2008

This palm is easy to use & basic enough for anyone. I use it for the calendar, contacts, tasks & memos. It keeps me straight on grocery lists, birthdays, etc.

Exactly what I needed
from Portland, OR,  May 14, 2009

This is not a bells and whistles product, especially in light of current technology. It does, however, work great for what I wanted: a searchable database of business contacts and a planner to keep track of my schedule.I was able to easily create a database specific to my unique business needs and the search function is easy and logical allowing for very quick recall of information based on limited input.I have only two beefs. 1. When importing the schedule into iCal on my Mac, I have to manually delete my old schedule as older information gets duplicated rather than automatically overwritten. 2. When trying to scroll down the contacts list with the down arrow, I regularly hit the "sync" button as they are located very, very close to each other. These two quibbles aside, this is a great basic planner product.

Not compatible with Windows Media Center
 from Michigan,  Aug 3, 2008

This has been a very adequate PDA for me for the last 3 years. However, my entire calendar has been erased from both the handheld and the Palm software on my computer twice in the past 6 months. This is apparently because Palm software is not compatible with Windows Media Center, which I was unaware. If you have Windows XP Home or Business, this is an excellent buy, but be aware of your operating systems and always make backups. Palm will help you to learn how to make a backup if you call them.

Palm Zaire 31
from Berea, KY,  Jun 24, 2008

I was very disappointed with this product. The case and screen are discolored and scratched. the functions do not work well and when you use the stylus, instead of just touching the screen you have to push very hard several times to get the function to come up and sometimes it will not come up at all. The Palm does not have the key ability for modern day technology. When you try to write in email addresses there is no @ feature. I have purchased several items from Overstock previously and have been pleased, but I feel this was not a good purchase and I will be a little more skeptical when making purchases in the future.
