Excellent Functionality
 from Omaha,  Dec 2, 2006

I have used iPaq's for several years and was leery about trying the Palm OS. However, I knew that the Windows systems were causing me a lot of grief so I decided to give it a try. Wow!!! There really is no comparision. The functionality with Palm is far and away superior. The screen readout is bigger. The fonts are clearer and easier to read. Whatever the task, it is usually several clicks shorter here. I also like that I can interface with my PC at work and also my Mac at home. I did upgrade to a newer version of the software that allows me to use and edit Word, Excel and Powerpoint. The upgrade was $20 and well worth the added functionality and speed. I don't know how it is for right handers, but being a lefty this TX seems to cause me a lot less consternation than the iPaqs. I have had no problem with battery life. After about a month of use, I have experienced none of the bugs some of the other reviewers report. Because it is so easy to use, I find myself using this PDA a lot more than my previous ones. As a result, my productivity has actually increased. I actually am knocking down the items in my to do lists and taking on more things in terms of following up with the extra added value touches with my clients. One last note is that I did purchase a blemished model. Well, I did find a micro scratch or two the top (not the face) and the back of the unit. However, I practically needed a magnifying glass to see them. I have never bought a top end PDA so I couldn't say how the TX compares to a $600 model. But it far surpasses the iPaqs of several hundred dollars more. It is just easier to use.

great item
from Colorado Springs,  Oct 3, 2007

The first Palm I ordered malfunctioned but Overstock sent a replacement and it is just wonderful. There are no blemishes that I can tell and I use this several times a day. I wouldn't be able to use this alone for web surfing as it is slow and hard to read but the organizational stuff is great.

Incredible PDA
from Pipersville, PA,  Sep 22, 2006

I couldn't believe that a "blemished" product could look so good! It looked like it came right out of the box and the features were awesome. The size is like a wallet so it goes anywhere easily.

Palm TX
from Milwaukee, WI,  Sep 20, 2006

I have been using the TX for about a month and have used the basic funtions Address Calendar and it works like it is supposed to. I have cruised the web and retrieved email with my Link Sys router at home consistantly. This is my only BlueTooth device so I can't comment on that. The Solitaire game is... addictive. I like the landscape oreintation better. Battery life could be better butt I have not run it out in a day so it works for me and I can't complain. With the no memory expansion card in I have been able to load in more books than I can read in a week and that is what I bought it for. The Original Zire it replaced was not enough for memory. I was at a bus stop and connectted to an unsecured home wireless router and got my email, Panera, some wireless hotspts here in Milwaukee and a few other places with no problems. This is a great feature! I am glad I am limited to hot spots. The large memory and expansion is what I like the best.

Nice upgrade
 from Hawaii,  May 22, 2008

I bought this as a replacement for my Tungsten C that was developing some dead spots in the screen. Although I miss the built-in keyboard (my graffiti skills are rusty) I am impressed at the speed of the processor. The calendar finally has a color coded system to allow me to track the multiple schedules of people in my office, and it processes data on a SCSI card far faster than the C. The battery life is great, but plan on leaving it on the charger overnight if you run the battery down -- the recharge time is nearly equal to the run time. All-in-all a great little tool, especially for the business traveler.

Palm TX Handheld PDA - Blemished
from Moxee, Wa,  Oct 11, 2007

This was a great product and I got it in 3 days. I couldn't tell it was blemished. Not quite sure where--looked great to me. The only thing I didn't like is that there is no printed manual to go with it. Since there are numerous features to this product a manual would be helpful but if you go to the Palm site you can download information on your handheld. Lots of features: web access, applications that you can add to if you put in an SD (or other ) Extension card since it only has 128MB memory. Task list, a note pad you can actually write on in a hurry, Calendar, media center where you can view pictures or videos, ... I could go on. It's a great product. I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. Sylvia

Blemished? Not at all
 from US,  Nov 29, 2006

My work gave me a gift certificate, so I decided to get this product. For years I have been using a sharp organizer, and when I saw this product listed here I decided to do research on it. Don't get me wrong- I love the wizard organizer I have, but the features for this much outweigh it. I was leary at first, since the listing said blemished, but after reading all the reviews I decided to go for it. Well, I received it today, and I am extremely happy. There are no blemishes at all, and it works perfectly.

Palm TX
from New Hampshire,  Sep 21, 2006

Excellent...... I love this product. Bought the blemished version and I can't find the blemish. It has been a huge help to keep track of my busy life. No complaints what so ever! I've only had it a very short time so I can't say whether it is great in the long term but time will tell.

Great Product

I had a handheld before, so this is a replacement. However, I love my new handheld. It is easy to install and move around. The screen change quickly and easy to learn to move around. Would recommend.

Palm TX is wonderful...
from Saint Louis, MO,  Apr 22, 2008

The Palm TX is a great value on Overstock.com (the cheapest I found on the net or store). The device showed no signs of wear and tear for being refurbished. I love this device! It works great for: mp3 player, photo slideshows, Office documents, organizer, internet and so much more.

New favorite toy
from Philadelphia, PA,  Apr 18, 2008

This was another great product from overstock. It was refurbished and looked a little beat up, but runs like a dream, I had multiple PDA's throughout the last few years most more expensive then the T/X but this is by far the best PDA i have ever used. I have downloaded 5 programs onto the T/X and they all run very fast. If you are in the market for a PDA I would suggest looking at this one.

quite satisfied
 from Iraq,  Nov 7, 2007

I ordered this item shipped to APO AE address and received in about 2 weeks as promised. Blemishes restricted to top edge of PDA (covered by most cases). Front surface, and most importantly- the screen was in perfect condition. Very satisfied with savings and delivery.

Great Product!
 from Michigan,  Oct 29, 2007

I cannot see a blemish on this unit. Works great, looks great, and has many features that I was looking for in a PDA. The charging unit didn't work, but a quick trip to the store and I have a new charging cord that works. Not a problem for the money I saved.

Just what I wanted
from Buffalo, NY,  Sep 14, 2007

I have used in the past Palm IIIxe, HP and three Dell PDAs (Axim X5, two X3i's) all the way back to 1999. I used Pocket PC lately because I need to keep PDFs on my PDA and I need to review word and excel attachments, and I need to use WiFi at airports and hotels. The T/X does all of this nicely. I have had it for a week and I am impressed with the ease of use. Especially nice is the mp3 player (although it stutters when saving and opening documents or connecting to wifi), documents to go (which makes using and editing word, excel and powerpoint a piece of cake) and the web browser is nice and seems to handle many different web sites. The unit is solid and pretty thin, the screen is nice and bright. The headphone volume is just right for me, a little too loud all the way up. The photo and video app is very cool, easy to sync new items onto the PDA. I almost forgot if you are into sharing files with windows PCs, the wifile lt is a very good app for browsing shares and loading files. Battery life is ok, although I am stressing the heck out of it using wifi a lot with the mp3 player running. I think if you weren't using wifi and the mp3 a lot or at lower volumes the battery life would be excellent. I would definitely recommend the t/x. Oh, by the way, my "blemished" unit showed up, and I can't figure out what the blemish was!

I love my TX!

Looked great. Don't know why it was considered blemished. Fairly user friendly. Wish it came with a paper manual to guide me.

Great price and great product
from Richmond, VA,  Dec 1, 2006

I bought the blemished one before BF and it works great. The only thing I noticed is that the cover is a bit dirty(which is easy to clean). Otherwise no scratchs whatsever. My only wish is that overstock can provide screen protector for TX. The one shipped with my TX is for other models, so it's a pain to to get it right. But I am happy with the product itself. I bought a 2G SD card to store my thousands of pictures, music and movies, which my old Clie S360 cannot handle. The vivid color really makes a difference.

Best Palm Handheld on Market
 from W. Lebanon, NH,  Sep 6, 2006

I'm upgrading from a Palm Zire 71 due to running out of build in memory. Wow! The palm TX really makes a difference in features and speed. Nice big screen and remains users friendly. Web browsing is fast compare to my Sony PSP, I should say much faster! Getting on the internet is pretty much automatic when it detected a hot spot. I bought a blemished one which does come with a few scratches but acceptable. As long as all functions work I am very happy with it. Highly recommended.

The usb cable for the TX does not link it to the computer, but it does charge it. Otherwise the TX is in fine condition. No major malfunctions or problems.
