I ordered a Lenovo ThinkStation E31 with the stock 4GB ECC RAM and added 2 of these DIMMs myself because of the cost savings. I found this product page by looking up Lenovo's exact part number, so there were no worries about compatibility. The RAM clicked into place without issues and everything was recognized properly after rebooting. The E31 was sluggish with the stock memory (Windows 8, Adobe CS4 Design), but it is now running circles around my old Mac Pro.
I would definitely recommend buying this RAM and installing it yourself if you feel comfortable. The big catch is that if you have a small form factor workstation you will have to temporarily unscrew other parts (in this case, the heatsink) to access the RAM slots. If you are installing it in a regular tower, the technical bar of entry is much lower.

The memory in this kit is rated as DDR3-10600 (1333 MHz), but I was able to successfully install all three modules into a system, without increasing voltage or changing to higher timings, with the memory running at 1694 MHz. CPU-Z shows the chips on this RAM are actually rated by Crucial for operation at 1524 (762*2) if you change the timings from 9-9-9 to 10-10-10, but I was able to go way above even that without changing anything. Passes every test I throw at it. Very impressed.
How did the image on site compare with the actual product? Looks the same
Was the product free of any manufacturer defects? I would say so...
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Running 27 percent overclocked at stock timings, quality is clearly excellent
