I needed one remote to control all my TV, audio/video devices. I had to download the manual since this was a refurb but it was just like new, the manual was great and the customer service was fantastic. When one of my devices did not work using all of the codes provided, I called and they researched it while I was on the phone and got back to me with the other codes. It still didn't work, so they walked me thru the learning mode for the remote. After that, it worked like a champ. One of the best values I've ever purchased.

All functions work great. I was able to run any device in my house. The remote appears to be new except for scratch on the keypad. I'm sure this what made it "refurbished". This was a great deal and I would not hesitate to buy a refurbished product again in order to get these savings. The only reason I did not give five stars for ease of use is that there is no manual provided. You need to download the manual.

After using 3 remotes all with the backs missing and batteries falling out all the time, I finaly broke down and bought a universal remote.
Works on cable!
Works on DVD!
And even my husband didn't think there was any way on the planet it would work on his old 1992 TV. Yup!
I was disappointed at first that it did not come with instructions. You have to download them online. However, we didn't even need them. This thing was cake to figure out!
AND it does a gazillion things we haven't even played around with yet. Amazing!

I was in the market for a seriously high-end universal remoted such as the 2006 models from HARMONY, however once the wife put the smackdown on me (essentially forbidding me to spend $400 on a TV remote)- I looked for a temporary alternative and found the One For All 8-in-1 remote.
Well, I won't be getting the harmony b/c the 8-in-1 does it all for me and it is extremely easy to use and program!
The best thing is that I have some odd DVD and HD components that I could not program using te insx booklet. ONE call to All for One and the loaded my remote (via telephone signals) and VOILA! Everything could be programmed.
Try this remote...you will not be sorry you did (unless you a videophile nut or have a very complex HT set up and thus, has to have a Pronto or Harmony remote)
