The camera worked, I took some good pictures. Then when the battery died, I tried to charge it. I charged it and put it back in the camera but the camera still wouldn't work. It was too late to return the camera to Overstock because the battery really lasted a long time. Thinking maybe it was a defective battery, I ordered a new one. Still didn't work. The camera turned on, lens went in/out, then the camera turned off. I thought maybe it was the charger, so I ordered a new charger. Still no luck. So now I have to send the camera back to Olympus and wait 60 or more days.
I wanted a small, easy to use camera to toss in my purse. Since I've been very pleased with my Olympus DSLR, I figured I'd stick with Olympus for a point and shoot as well. I had read several good reviews for this camera and figured for the price I couldn't go wrong. I am sorely disappointed. The telephoto is useless unless you're using a tripod, the focus is slow and not great and the images look like they might be 4 megapixal, not 12 (I've seen sharper images from phones). My four year old, beaten and abused DSLR is easier to use and has far better images even though it's only 10 mp...
