I have owned two previous Olympus cameras and I have always been impressed with their structure and performance. When I opened this product I could instantly tell that this camera was of sub par quality. It was significantly lighter than my other cameras. It was made cheaply, with the exterior feeling more like a soft, frail plastic, then of meta or other substantial material My previous camera looks almost identical to this one, however when holding both, it becomes obvious the old camera was made with better quality materials. I decided to try and use it the camera. I had bought it to take pictures at a wedding. The camera absolutely WOULD not charge. After almost 12 hours of charging (the instructions suggest 4 hours), the camera took about 10 pictures and then the battery died. I tried charging the battery through the charger sent with the packet and my computer. Neither option worked. I returned the camera and am now looking for a new one. As I browsed through the reviews of the other Olympus cameras for sale, I came across two other reviews that mention the poor quality and charging deficiencies. I imagine that Olympus's newer version of cameras are just badly made.
