American or European?
The camera showed up today and it has the expert quality and workmanship that one would expect from Nikon, the only problem I have is the camera that was sent to me was intended for the European market and not the American market. While the only problem with the camera is making sure that the settings conform to what we use here in the United States, the camera is preset to PAL settings not NTSC, is easily changed any consumer buying this camera needs to make sure that they go through the menu carefully when setting it up for the first time, or you will be wondering why the camera is not working for you correctly. Second, after unpacking the battery charger I was a little surprised to find that the cable that came with it is set up for European outlets. While this is easily corrected with the purchase of an American wall outlet adapter, not everyone just happens to have one on hand. Once again this is not a very big problem but a bit of an annoyance, would have been nice to know that I was getting a camera set up for Europe instead of the United States ahead of time. Other than that, Great camera, I see myself using it for years to come!
