Great Camera and Great Bonus Pack
It took 3 shipments before I actually got a camera that was functional. But once I did, man, it is a sweet camera! The 10x optical zoom capabilities in a compact digital camera with 6 megapixel results just adds to the camera's value. It is small enough to fit in a cargo pocket, or a small purse, The bonus pack includes a 2GB media card, all you'll need to take hundreds of pictures at high quality resolution, a camera pack, and lens cleaning supplies. The images are sharp and clear - with the exception of brightly lit night shots, which I had difficulty with blurring - the mfr recs a tripod, but that is not always possible. I played around with the scene options and found some formats that allowed the picture to come out more clearly. It's really not a difficult camera to use, and is all ready to use if you are a novice or recreational photographer, but if you want to expand your skills and find out all of it's capabilities, read the manual, play around with it, and see what it really can do. I love this camera, and would recommend it to anyone, esp for the price.

Great Choice
I bought this camera for my 12 year olds birthday and she loves it. I was able to get her a better camera at a cheap camera price. She loves it and takes it everywhere she goes.

Refurbished still defective
I ordered the Nikon as a Christmas gift for my mother. How disappointed to find out the screen doesn't detect any images through the lens. In the process of contacting Nikon and Overstock.com regarding return/exchange. I own a newer model and it's great. My advice is don't order refurbished.

Great camera
This little camera takes great pictures that are very sharp and clear. My only gripe is that it is difficult to change scene modes. I have had trouble toggeling between choices. That said I still love the camera.

Great camera for distance and action
This is my first digital camera. I wanted the best possible zoom in a compact , fairly low-cost camera - my kids are in a lot of sports - and bought this because it is a 10x, with a few useful accessories. After using it for the first time at a high school football game, I am blown away - sitting in the stands I got great close-ups across the field as well as action shots. The camera is a reconditioned item and arrived scratched and scuffed in places, but I don't care. It is as good as I hoped and better than I expected. Very fast shipping too.
