great until it breaks
The Nikon l18 is infamous for habing lens errors. i purchased this camera new, I used it quite a few times and really liked it. The quality of the pics were great and there was ease of use. I used it outside one day to photograph my daughter in the garden when I went to shut it off the lense wouldn't retract I called Nikon and they said to try to reset it and after 25 minutes of talking to them I finally pushed the lense strongly and it retracted but wouldn't open again. This all happened while I was on the ohone with customer service. they said that because now there was misuse I couldn't even send it to them under the manufacturer warranty! That is probably why this is refurbished. if you think I'm lying that this is a commom problem google nikon L18 lense errors or problems there are tons of threads, I wish I had had this iformation before I purchased!

So far, so good! Works great. Did come with 2 dead batteries, but after talking to customer service I was VERY pleased with their response. Overstock seems to stand behind their products, better than most. I will keep shopping with them.
